General Marvel Legends

Corsair is pinless, he uses the Vulcan body.
Well hell, he is. I'm at work and remembered him in the windowless packaging so figured he was on the old bucky body.

The gloves thing still stands though. No face print either, right?

He's pinless, but not perfect. The one thing most people wanted corrected on him was the red headband should be blue, as it is in MOST of his appearances. I think it's miscolored red in some modern appearances.

I don't necessarily have an issue with the Ch'od BAF. Yes, it was phoned in, but who didn't see that coming? I wound up cutting his pinky fingers off and dremeling the side of the hand down so it was rounded and now his four fingers look fine. Could he have been larger? Yes. So could Abomination. I've got less attachment to the Starjammers than the Inhumans, so I'm not too concerned with inaccuracies. But the hands weren't too difficult for me to correct.

Sikorsky was the med thing, wasn't he? What did Cr'reeeeeeeeeee even do?
I think Cr'reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee was just Ch'od's pet? I don't know if he did much besides hang out. But yeah Sikorsky was the medical helicopter alien thing - definitely want him as a pack-in whenever they get to the rest of the group.

I'm plenty happy with Corsair as is, but he also has unsculpted thigh-highs, which I always find vexing in ML.

Lucid's visceral reaction to Ch'od is just evidence that we should always remember every character is someone's favorite (or one of their favorites). And it's always a bummer when Hasbro takes the lazy route with ANY figure.

Which you guys should all remember when I'm complaining about Shatterstar and when I inevitably complain about Kylun when they get around to making him in 2038.

That Ch'Od BaF was objectively horrible all-around. In addition to the incorrect finger count, he was missing the fin details on his back and lower legs, the one meager paint application was inadequate, he was missing his crazy laser rifle, and he was waaaay too short. All this, plus the fact they lazily reused a decade-old figure flies in the face of the assertion that the BaF model allows for novel sculpts or larger figures to be included in the line.
I love me some Ch'Od, but I begrudgingly passed on attempting to build him or even consider picking him up on the secondary market. That was some seriously phoned-in bullshit. If they try repackaging that turd in a boxed set, I will have a conniption fit.
I think it just shows that the BAFs are subject to the same dynamics as any other figure in a wave - sometimes the BAF gets all the attention (re: budget) and sometimes they're made with reuse to get other new figures out the door.

My problem with Ch'od is that I always picture him the way he appeared in Incredible Hulk as drawn by Gary Frank. Which makes him about 12 feet tall. Give me THAT version, please and thanks.

I think you are about 10 years to early on the release of Kylun. Which is about 5 years before the release FA Wonder Man.

Didn't Marvel do a sub-storyline in that Starjammers mini series where Cr'Reee had a wife and a job or some ridiculous shiz like that?

Marvelous News had another interview with Dwight. I haven't listened to it yet, but the site had this overview:

Some things that stood out to me in these interviews is that while nothing is yet locked in, they have been looking at ways to do some kind of X-Men Danger Room environment type sets and making a new Hulk figure that is similar in size to the recent Gamerverse Juggernaut.

Some hints to more Hulk basedd figures coming which is something that has been rumored as well as confirmation that we will be seeing a Deluxe sized figure on retro cardback, which is likely in reference to the rumored Deluxe Onslaught that is seemingly teased on the upcoming X-Men Retro Cardback Emma (Diamond Form) figure.

Dwight also confirmed we will be seeing a large character BAF in 2026 that will round out a team.
They also speculated that Box may be the BAF. I think Marina would also be needed for Alpha Flight to be considered "complete."

I believe the comments regarding the Starjammers could be a bit misleading. Maybe they already have one of the two remaining characters planned and just didn't want to comment on it. This original version of Hepzibah shouldn't be too hard to make. New head. Would people be opposed to reusing this Black Cat's furry boot tops even though they're not long enough?

Also maybe we should realize that holding on too tight to a specific rendition of a character and expecting a figure to meet those exact specifications isn't realistic. Some kind of compromise will likely be made, so maybe flex a bit. It may be fine to not like 100% of a figure, but also realize it's highly unlikely any figure will meet 100% of your expectations.

And "close enough" is incredibly subjective, especially when there is that favorite character preciousness. For years, Carol Danvers Miss Marvel was my #1 want. When they did Karla Sofen Miss Marvel, I had to look long and hard at it and decide if she was "close enough."

In her case, I decided it would do as a placeholder. Because I loved the character/ costume *so* much that any version of it was a win (especially given that I had been terrified they were going to give her pants).

Opposite was the two-pack Iron Fist, where I decided the cut of his shirt bothered me too much to buy him as my "classic" Danny. Is that insane? Yes. Do I stand by it? One hundred-goddamned-percent.
