These fuzzy boots are a better match to that art. That image isn't working for me, so here's the link.

But now that the question has been asked, long hair or short for Hepzibah? I always pictured long but that's probably because of the Animated Series.

Corsair has a great faceprint - I like that figure, despite his painted-on boots, which annoy the **** out of me. I almost picked up another to use him as a base for Tbolts Techno (or Fixer? It's been so long, Hasbro, I forgot!).

BAF team completer - Box also came to mind with Marrina rumored, but could it be Tbolts Atlas at long last?!? With some missing members? Though Tbolts still makes sense as a boxset.

Not that Hasbro needs me to defend them, but one reason why they may start a team and not finish it is if the previous figures were received poorly. You generally don't want to double-down on bad bets.
This is what probably happened to Serpent Society - Rock Python probably killed it. BUT is that fair?

Tbolts sold well, right? Songbird, Citizen V, Mach-1 didn't linger in stores. But no new figures. Unless we're going to hold Walgreens apparently unsold stock of Moonstone and Zemo against the team.

I have to argue that other figures received poorly is not a good reason to not finish teams - maybe they were received poorly bc the whole team is not represented. Remember when people saw only Jim Lee Rogue in the Juggernaut wave and said "I'm not buying that - there are no other JL figs!" That was short-sighted thinking on fans part. Hasbro has all the tools to be much better and smarter than that and not leave their own customers left hanging - customers who have *always* expressed they don't like being left hanging on this topic.

Also maybe we should realize that holding on too tight to a specific rendition of a character and expecting a figure to meet those exact specifications isn't realistic. Some kind of compromise will likely be made, so maybe flex a bit. It may be fine to not like 100% of a figure, but also realize it's highly unlikely any figure will meet 100% of your expectations.
Certainly.
Shatterstar is a mix of those things for me. There are changes/compromises I can definitely live with, and there's other things that just make me really unhappy. He's not at all a perfect figure, or even a -really good- figure. But he's all I'm probably ever going to get.

And "close enough" is incredibly subjective
Exactly. See above about Shatterstar.
It's close enough for me to have him in my collection. Perfect world there's a bunch of changes I would make (or, at least, SOME changes). With what we got, I would take a new one in a heartbeat. That tells me it's not what I want it to be. But it's good -enough- that it doesn't make me angry to look at. It serves the purpose of having a decent representation of the character on the shelf. I'm just always going to wish it were better. Especially for a figure we're unlikely to see again.

My Walgreen's still has a Moonstone or 2 and a couple others, and they've raised the price to $29.99. They've sat for years at $5 cheaper, but sure, that'll help get them out of the store. 😆

Here's another good interview from London. For all you MCU fans - go towards the end when they discuss upcoming MCU stuff, and Dwight says "you might be seeing things from past movies that were missed".

This is the Hepzibah I always assumed they'd make. Seems like something that could be made from existing molds with the exception of the shoulder thing, the holster and if they were to do sculpted gloves instead of paint. And a new head of course.

They should just do a 2pk of Hepzibah and Raza. No repacks. We have who we need already.

In another interview this past weekend Dwight affirmed what is mostly obvious from looking at how they do the 2-packs now--they always pack in the less-desirable character with a more-desirable character. So Silver Samurai that peg-warmed hard gets packed with Wolverine, or Triton gets packed with Black Bolt. They wouldn't do two deep cuts in the same pack to guarantee that 2-pack wouldn't sell.

Box as the BAF and Marrina in the same wave makes sense as they are connected, like Skurge and Enchantress are, but Box, both the Bochs version and the Jefferies version joined Alpha Flight after Talisman. So Box does not complete the early Alpha Flight roster... unless Talisman is in the wave too...

I'm still sticking with Attuma as the BAF. He completes the animated Cabal and he is one of the Articulated Thoughts cards Jesse said there would be 4 characters of in 2026.

I don't think so. From my memory they're all just fodder for the X-Men to smash and bash, but it has been awhile since I played the game.
They're just different colors based on what stage of the game it is. They don't do anything particularly different, though I only remember the pink/purple ones flying in and throwing rocks at you during the game. There's some "Warstar" looking "sentinels" with a cannon that shoot, giant mutant flower/Abe Vigoda lookalikes that come out of the ground, some crocodiles/caimans in workout attire that tail whip you...you know, all the things we associate with X-Men.

I just find it hilarious that the new colors of Sentinels in the 2pks have the orange one on the box, yet the contents of said box don't include any orange sentinels. I'd expect that one after this pack releases, so now we're cutting corners on "box reuse."

Definitely prefer the Hepzibah with the shorter hair like the image posted with the Black Cat figure - that's from her earliest appearances in the X-Men.

I'm fine with either of these personally as the tiara version was the arc with Vulcan in space. I don't see needing two versions of this character, at least for me. I do wish Corsair had the right colored headband at least though.

Giant retro carded Onslaught is basically a lock at this point. I wonder if they will update it to pinless or any other parts of the body.
