General Marvel Legends

My preferred Kitty is the green Ariel suit. She only wore it for a brief period, all told, but that's exactly the time frame I'm basing my collection in.

I'd take that look. I love when Hasbro does stuff that's super duper specific to a narrow frame in time. Particularly when it's something I strongly remember reading. Ariel also fits with my quest to have every character/ costume that appeared in "Marvel Team-Up." Although I expect I will be waiting just a bit for Hasbro to get around to Woodgod.

Perennial dollar bin staple that it is, I have a lot of affection for the book and for the moments in other titles' continuity it crystalizes. Like how the X-Men story in issue four fills in the weird twilight between X-Men's cancellation and revival.

I would really love if the old school training suit uniforms were represented accurately when they get to them - by which I mean slightly baggy and not as skin-tight/form fitting, particularly through the torso. That means new sculpts, not just reusing old bodies and painting them on.
I agree with this, and a similar looser-fitting style is needed for the Fantastic Four as well, which Kirby and Byrne drew as more close-fitting but not skin tight.

My preferred Kitty is the green Ariel suit.
Also needed, and while I would love the crazy outfit, green Ariel and a better Shadowcat are needed more.

Did Jean erase Scott's memory in that issue? "TOO LATE, LADY!"

You gotta love the '70s.

Yep, I do believe she did.

It was a wonderful transitional period where within the same issue, you could feel the writers oscillating between the two poles of "this is serious, we're real storytellers" and "to hell with it, this is just for kids anyway."

As a kid, I often grabbed that book if I only was allowed to get one comic. It was Spidey either teaming up with another character I love, or introducing me to a brand new one! Most of the time, they were one-and-done stories that could be read on their own, and just had a lot of action and whitty banter with Spidey and whoever he was fighting alongside. I'll always have a soft spot for it.

Good point! Some old school/vintage FF would be amazing to get. I'd love a full set of vintage/1960's Marvel that actually looked the part. We've got a few decent ones already - add the aforementioned X-Men and FF and a Kirby Hulk and I'd be pretty happy.

BBTS is saying Nimrod will be in soon. My pre-order list this year is shrinking awfully fast. I still might kick this one off my list, and I think the only reason he's on there at the moment is the more classic Nimrod head.

Yep, I had this pre-ordered through BBTS as well but found it at retail this weekend at a local comic book store that was also running a 10% off sale on all in-stock inventory so I bought it upon sight and cancelled the BBTS pre-order. I already had the 3-pack version, but like all things Sentinel-related I just couldn't pass another iteration up.

This is where I'm at. I've got the first Nimrod but Sentinels are the perfect baddies and I'm always tempted to grab another. I'm debating right now killing my pre-order and seeing if I can grab a sale.

As a kid my four favorite books were X-Men, Avengers, Marvel Team-Up and Marvel Two-In-One.... Team Up and TIO were fun because there was a wide spray of characters and stories that were pretty self contained to the specific issue. They would occasionally drop references to other books, but reading everything wasn't required.

Right? Jean's boots were so off-shade that might as well just have been green.

The training suit is the priority for me but Kitty in her Ariel costume is honestly a really big want. It's so distinct to the early 80s X-books. And would I buy it in both green AND blue? Yes, yes I would.

Assuming the Secret Wars Wave 2 Spider-Man ends up being a classic red/blue ASM15 release, and we have at least one more Maximum release to look forward to in the black suit - I'd love to see the RVYs body one more time using the Spider-Man 2 Gamerverse Advanced Suit head. While I was looking for a less goofy alternative for my Beyond Spider-Man Ben - I ended up swapping the Gamerverse head on a RYV Spidey and it looks great for an ideal modern Spider-Man. I know... it's a lot of red and blue Spider-Man... but it would be a banger release.

They ah... also need to release Ben's Sensational Spider-Man costume on the Maximum body...

My guess is going to be that it's mid-transformation Red/Blue and Symbiote Spider-Man.
