Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

If I end up with a Skapular, Im definitely swapping the arms and legs too. The ML skeletons are solid figures and work well - but I cant stand how the legs and arms look with all that thickness going on.

I swapped out the bone parts for some red suited arms and legs from a Cosmic Legions pilot and he looks great as a LIVE human.
ooooh! If you do this and put the Skapular bones on the pilot you’ve got a base for Dan Larsen’s custom head kit!

(I used the $10 Barbarian add-ons on my Emir to give him live human parts, little meat to off set his bone army…)

I ended up liking the pilot and took the black suited legs/arms I had lying around to make a black/red styled pilot. Personally I don't think it looks like a pilot much so it's more just a squad leader for my chunky blue Space Marine looking guys who are supposedly miners according to 4H.

The candy-apple red and black looks nice though.

I simultaneously love how unhinged Skapular looks as a base figure but also want to use his leper mask and red robe so I'm wondering if I should try to find must a base body to put the robe onto and a spare head to pop the mask plate into.
I've been saving my robe for some other figure, perhaps as the Mythic Legions start to appear more Middle Eastern. Right now my Skapular is basically a cross between an Eastern European knight and one of the Immortals from 300. The mask is what got me to buy the figure. If it was just another skeleton I'd likely have passed.

Love your guys ideas with Skap! I started camping out on him at BBTS, and managed to snag one today - sweeet, I was so shocked to see him pop up!

I have a few extra legion builder knights that I can steal arms and legs from Thinking on using parts from the gold knight, but the shiny black armor from the Vampire knight builder might be cool too. Now what do with that awesome robe, Id hate for it to go to waste in a plastic bin...

Skapular's robe is fun, but the figure underneath is so beautifully detailed that it feels a shame to hide it under a robe. I had the same problem with Kurrn Ray from the last Cosmic wave. The coat she comes with has some really fun little details, but the paint on the figure is also lovely. I ended up draping the coat over her shoulders Yakuza-style so you can still see most of her paint application.

The latest Kickstarter email is pretty funny. Most of the KS I've backed have had a dollar pledge level for folks who were on the fence but wanted to add things during the pledge manager. I honestly can't remember the last time that wasn't an option for something I'd backed (though I rarely if ever use it). Their one-dollar pledge just... let's you watch the campaign. No add-ons later. Which people didn't know, so in the last day they have to remind everyone that it's a minimum $25 or 30 dollar buy-in.

What’s funny is, that’s one of the few things they were absolutely clear on from the start.

Like being confused on how to add add-ons or missing the “that’s not the real shipping price” updates… but the $1 tier says “you can’t add add ons with this tier” in the description. They’re trying to help people who can’t read by having them read an email.

Like I get it, if you convert all of them to $25 pledges that’s an extra $500 plus whatever their add ons would be, gotta get to $1.5m to be number three in toys or whatever their other email was begging for…

But a lot of people will give $1 to a fully funded campaign to get that “Super Backer” badge by their name to swing their dicks around in the comments like they’re an unofficial moderator so that’s not $23 that’s gonna convert to $10k, it’s $23 from 23 people who don’t give a shit

Yeah I thought the email was kind of weird too.. But then again I think the $1 pledge for nothing is weird too, but most if not all kickstarters seem to do it. It felt more like just another call to attention that the kickstarter is close to the end.

I've thrown a dollar at a boardgame KS here and there to keep the option option to back late if I was REALLY on the fence on it and only once, maybe twice I ended up not upping my pledge on the last day.

I thought a superbacker was someone who backed X projects over Y amount of time for Z amount of money. I could've sworn I had superbacker next to my name in the comments, but I also have only left a comment in a KS once in the past year when I was looking for help because I, an idiot, had lost the link to the PDF for a TTRPG book I'd backed and had to ask them to resend me the code.

I'd be more into this line if they dropped all the He-Man homages and did New Adventures of He-Man homages. How stupid to skip out on all that money of what is far and away everybody's favorite version of He-Man.

Also how about a Cookie Monster inspired Orc? Is that really a lot to ask?
