They could have done what Toybiz did with the original x23 and engineer them like a pocketknife with the claw being housed in the bottom of her foot when not deployed.
 
I'm usually a stickler for costume accuracy and I didn't even notice X-23's colors being wrong. Perhaps the backpack straps disguised it?

I do think the lack of an expression on the second face is odd but I'm thinking the hair down face is kinda meant to go on a second figure to make a younger Laura from Logan. Put the sunglasses on her and it could work.

I'm just curious if they did anything to improve the should joint which was notoriously prone to getting stuck and tearing off. Otherwise, great for those who missed it or didn't want to pay a higher special release price. I'm happy with the previous release which has more attachment options and I think another head option...?

For me she's just got that stoic concentration even in combat, so the dynamic hair with RBF works.

There is the most subtle paint difference in the gold bits, the new version is a lighter gold.....It looks nice but I don't know if that's worth the money to replace the old one.

They skimped on accessories that the original came with. They got rid of the arm rocket that I never used but also the really good mask-up Tony head is gone too.

I got this because the online pics makes the reds look shinier, more metallic, but in hand the reds are basically the same.....still the red swirly plastic, not the painted red finish I hoped for. I didn't take the new one out to check the joints because this one is probably going back. Even getting him at $17, I'm just not seeing a huge difference.

My concern is for the shoulders, they had some really tight ratchets that made the pegs feel like they would shear if you rotated the arms at the shoulder. I didn’t love this figure to begin with more because of the odd proportions. Those shoulders are TINY under the pauldrons. The arms look really short too. For a long deserved update/redo, they still managed a lot of regressive qualities.
 
Aw, poo! Totally forgot I bought IM Mark II last year, so I ordered another one at almost twice the price I had paid when I didn't see it in my MCU IM display :rolleyes: Now, I have to track the original down.

Anyone know if Target will take a return without paying me back, or would I be wasting my time? Oddly enough, I ordered IM Mark III and they delivered to the wrong address, then shipped a replacement. Lo and behold, someone later dropped off the original package at my house (and on the worst snow day this season no less, kudos).

Such a missed opportunity with Gamora and High Evolutionary. The former you could just re-release the same vol. 2 figure with a few slight tweaks and updates, and the latter was one of the best villains the MCU had seen in a while. Still hoping we see him somehow in a catch-up wave.
 
Will they even have Doomsday figures this year? Isn't party line, "We can't get the looks accurate because we're working off of early production art"? I guess the FF figures last year were relatively accurate except for Thing who was shirtless in one, seconds-long clip of the movie.

Anyway, I set a goal for under 10 ML purchases this year but if they do movie-accurate looks of Doomsday X-Men in comic-accurate costumes (if that makes sense), that would crimp my plans. As would updates of Cap, IM, Thor, Hulk, Widow, Hawkeye, and Loki from the first Avengers movie, but I doubt that's happening.

So my short answer is: Lou Ferrigno Hulk and "hot civilian" Darcy and Karen Page 2 pack.

I think they try to prioritize characters wearing practical suits as the CG ones change up until the week of release. There have been some leaks of Cyclops and a few others which were likely reference images for toys and merchandise... which is exactly why the studio is hesitant to provide those. I really hope we get the Doomsday line in 2026... Marvel will really want to push it in the lead up and during release.

I'd also love a Wonder Man in the final movie suit. It turned out really good.

Hopefully some kinda catch-up wave that isn't just a repack of a Spider or Iron Man figure. One...more...disney plus wave would be amazing. Echo, Bullseye, Loki, Wonderman, Ironheart, Werewolf By Night, and deluxe Sam in his final Falcon costume.

Otherwise, Brand New Day is probably too far out and any Doomsday figures shown would be a shock.
