Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

I wouldn't expect to see any Doomsday figures until at least maybe SDCC or NYCC- depends on when we get the actual trailer. I'd also love to be proven wrong, but given all the supposed Doomsday behind the scenes re-arranging and such, the whole project kinda reeks of "final designs will be different than the designs we turned over to Hasbro and other merch teams", so I'm not entirely hopeful that whatever figures we get first are even gonna be how they look on screen. Same with Brand New Day- I'm sure those designs will be much more finalized, but I wouldn't expect to see any figures from it yet. We don't even really know any of the villains, other than Scorpion.

Would be great to get at least a sneak peek at what the other Deadpool and Wolverine wave may entail, but since they're still trying to push the next wave, I'm sure they'll wait on those. Hopefully more of those rumored Thunderbolts figures. Other than that, I'm not really sure, but I'll take almost any catch-up figures they're willing to give us.

Gross. That doesn't surprise me, though, especially if designs were still being finalized. I know there's a lot we weren't privy to, but it does feel like BND came together rather quickly, so that might be part of it. But I'd rather they go the NWH route and give us accurate designs, even if it takes longer, than to do something inaccurate and then make us double-dip down the road. Scorpion, especially, I can see being a deluxe, depending on the design.

Reminds me that we never got Shocker. Give us Shocker, Hasbro. He's so small potatoes in the grand scheme of things, but Spidey villains (at least maybe A-C tier) always sell.
 
After my latest Legends purge, I'm no longer all in on Spider-Man villains, so I don't even know what I want anymore. I guess if Hobgoblin ever shows up on screen, that's about it now. It would still be really great to see full on versions of guys like Scorpion and Shocker though.
 
Im not expecting doomsday or brand new day reveals yet - too soon I’d say.

But I also am hoping for a catch up wave that isn’t just straight up re releases like the last years.

I still remember the hype when those initial infinity saga catch up waves were leaked and shown at a toy fair a few years ago - I need those feels back. I couldn’t believe they were going back to do villains like Yellow Jacket and Ronan (Omg that neck helmet thing tho..).

Wishes for me:

Infinity saga - AV1 Loki, Chitauri, Ancient One, Whiplash, Malekith, Kaecilius

D+ Wave - Echo, Wiccan, Werewolf, Story time Loki, Final suit iron heart, Wonderman, Muse

Multiverse Saga - High Evolutionary, Abomination, small Cassie Lang, Ghost, Taskmaster

Gimme one or just gimme all

Same. And actually, the discussion about those is how I found Fwoosh in the first place. REALLY exciting time to collect MCU figures.

DAMNIT... thank you, Wiccan should have been my seventh! Basically we have the same list except you added Wiccan and Muse, which are both solid choices for figures.

I'd also say throw in a Holiday Special set that's either Drax and Mantis in their outfits for most of the special (and Vol. 3 before they adopt the uniforms), OR... Christmas sweater versions.

Thank you for the Thunderbolts love. I wanna say "I've given up on Ghost and Taskmaster", but the two empty spots next to Yelena and Bucky say otherwise.

When the holiday special came out it was that time period where Hasbro was going ham with all of phase 4 MCU - Shang chi, eternals and black widow.

I was CONVINCED we’d see an Xmas Drax and Mantis and was always shattered we never did. They were doing everything back then.

I also was hoping for a baseball jacket casual Shang Chi back in those days - I’m happy to forgo that one now.

Found the new Iron Man Mark 3 at Target. The shoulders are still ratcheted but they actually move now without feeling like they will rip. The ratchets do click very loudly though. Ultimately, it’s an improvement for me. Happy to get him!

Anyway, I set a goal for under 10 ML purchases this year but if they do movie-accurate looks of Doomsday X-Men in comic-accurate costumes (if that makes sense), that would crimp my plans. As would updates of Cap, IM, Thor, Hulk, Widow, Hawkeye, and Loki from the first Avengers movie, but I doubt that's happening.

So my short answer is: Lou Ferrigno Hulk and "hot civilian" Darcy and Karen Page 2 pack.

I am pretty sure Thing in that look was in the movie more but the scene was cut short

Which is funny since i used to firmly be "if it takes a few years, I'll wait, I just really want these figures!"

Great wishlist! I have mine organized by movie, and it's a lot more extensive than I wish it was. In a perfect world we would have got all these when the movies were released, but hey at least the likenesses are much better these days. I have some of the older MCU stuff and they can be pretty bad compared to more modern sculpts and paint.
