X-Men Wishlist - Just For Fun!

So, likewise for the Mutant Liberation Front, we got Stryfe and Zero. Who else would be most prominent in that group? I know Forearm from the 5" line. I'd gander that Wildside, the guy with the Wolverine hair, has some recognizability? Should he be next?

Beyond Fabian Cortez, who would be the most prominent members of Magneto's Acolytes? Who should be the next, if we only get one?

For the MLF, Tempo or Wildside since they featured on X-Teams during the Krakoan era so you get two eras out of them. For the Acolytes, Frenzy for the same reason even though she joined earlier.

For the MLF: Forearm (natch.), Tempo, Reaper, Wildside, would be most prominent. For my part, I’d add Dragoness and (at least) a miniature Thumbelina.

For the Acolytes: Senyaka (he had a 5” figure), Mellancamp, Cargill (Frenzy), Colossus, Exodus, Amelia Voght, stand out to me as more prominent members.

Thanks for the suggestions. I honestly have no desire for most of those, nor any faith that these rosters will be revisited by Hasbro. I think each of these teams is so cumbersome with multiple obscure members. At the rate we're going, I'd never expect them to expand, and it would take decades even if they did.

Exodus and Amelia Voght. Senyaka was mid tier before Magneto killed him with his own coils in front of the X-Men at Illyana's funeral. Uniscione (green forcefield in the form of a fist girl) was used quite a bit. Milan (some tech guy with an arrow on his head) was often depicted but didn't do much. Chrome was literally a skinnier version of Cortez's design with a different head, sacrificed himself on the reentry of Asteroid M as it crashed to Earth by encasing Magneto on his throne in chrome. Melloncamp got used quite a bit but died during Fatal Attractions when Jamie Madrox spawned a dupe inside him by plunging his hand down his throat while he was mauling Jamie. There's a hairy wolfman lookalike I don't really need. Delgado (basically Mondo from Gen X) showed up a decent amount. And the Kleinstock (conjoined) twins were around a lot, but not sure how Hasbro would handle them. Frenzy (Cargill) was around enough that I'd say she'd be a decent representation on the shelf. Eventually it got to the point where they didn't really wear matching uniforms anymore and I feel like that's where the sect trailed off into obscurity.

Honestly I'd only really want Reignfire from the MLF. Even as a kid I thought Wildside was stupid looking and a trash design. Maybe Liefeld had the flu when he designed him.

Would also throw in Rusty Collins/Firefist and Skids as members of both groups.
I always felt like Rusty and Skids were more captives of Magneto. They always seemed to be ambivalent about being there and like they were openly debating going with Xavier but realized they'd probably be killed if they tried to leave. Colossus at least was able to debate with Exodus and the others so his desire to leave wasn't as apparent once he realized he picked the wrong horse. Plus it was revealed that Colossus was the one who lowered the shields/jammed the signals that allowed the X-Men stealth strike team to land on the asteroid undetected during X-Men #25, so he was never fully committed to Magneto's cause 100%, but stayed to care for him after Xavier wiped his mind out of some sort of responsibility for leaving him in a catatonic state.

Yet, Mellancamp survived. Next Acolyte appearance, he was there active with the rest of them. Head intact. Memories intact. And appeared several times afterwards, with only the ANAD X-Factor acknowledging that he was killed. I believe he was essentially spared by Writerus Noncommicatious.

I want all of the main Shi’ar Imperial Guard, by specially Smasher, Oracle, Tempest, Starbolt, Warstar, Manta and Hussar!

I think these plus the already released Fang and Gladiator would be enough for me to be happy with their representation on my shelf.

I think Exodus and Acolyte Colossus are at least reasonably likely to happen. Amelia Voght and Frenzy less likely, but possible. I'd love a Senyaka, but I seriously doubt I'll get him. Of the MLF Tempo is the easiest to make. give the lady a bucket head and a paintjob and you're done. I do think they are a much longer shot than more acolytes.

I always wondered as a kid why they never did a fastball special with the Colossus as the one being thrown magnetically by Magneto during this time. They're basically a rail gun.

I would think out of any Acolyte other than Exodus, Senyaka stands the best change of being made simply due to the fact that they already made a ToyBiz version, which seems to make for shoo-in status with the Marvel Legends folks. Especially since the retro cardbacks seem to do well and are already reminiscent of ToyBiz packaging.

So a slight detour of topic: a while back I was doing some X-men fanart stuff for fun that was basically me inventing new cards for the 90's style collectible sets. My theme was X-Men team-up moves. I only completed 5, but I had Ideas for over a dozen I just never got to. Several of them were Fastball variants and this specific one I had down as the villain team-up move "Railgun Special".

The ones I completed were "Flashbang" (Banshee supercharges Dazzler), "Roll the Bones" (Gambit using Marrow's growths as ammo), "Lost in Translation" (Rachel and Doug telepathically encode someone's thoughts to shield them from interrogation), "Voltron Special" (everyone touches Rogue so she becomes a super powerhouse), and a version of the "Fastball Special" (Armor doing the throwing).

The ones I didn't get to were things like "Magik Bullet", "Wrecking Ball Special", "Railgun Special", "Perpetual Mayhem Machine", "Black Swan", and "Tropical Getaway". Which I'll let you think on the names and their possible meanings. The hard part for some of them was how to show them in a single image, but it was a fun little art project. I still think about going back and finishing the set off at times.
