I'm sitting in my doctor's office waiting to get some labs done.

OMG, there are so many old people here.

When I started shaving my head, I had a full head of hair (foreshadowing). Some time later I got lazy/busy and didn't shave for a couple of days. I walked into an elevator with mirrors and out off the corner of my eye I saw some sad sap's head that was 80% bald spot and oh-my-gawd-that-is-me!

As a dark aside, I've heard aging is kind of like that. Suddenly you don't recognize the guy in the mirror.

They stuck a needle in me and drew blood. Then they made me pee in a cup.

But ... my nice lady doctor gave me a hug and I got a lollipop.

I'm going to start referring to my doctor as the "people vet".

I've been warned a lot by relatives and people in our direct community growing up that we people with Mediterranean genes tend to age very slowly, but then very suddenly. I'll look like I'm 40 until I'm 65, but at 66 I'll look like I'm 80, or something. We'll see! What a fun game.

I run the opposite with this effect. I feel old and think I must look it. But whenever I go to the barber (I'm balding, but still like having someone else do it, it's a social ritual), and especially when I trim my beard back to setting 1, I'm always "Who the hell is this?"

Takes the years right off, at least to my mind.

Took my older boy and his friend to see Streetlight Manifesto last night in Montreal. Great show, tons of energy. It was a bit skewed by me checking the location of my truck every 15-20 minutes though. I was paranoid it was going to be stolen up there. I've had a few insurance customers have their vehicles stolen while in Montreal, and figured my Wagoneer would be a perfect target too.
