Super 7 Ultimates Thread

So after sitting in my POL until it had 4 days left, I got in my set of series 3 Disney figures. Couldn't pass them up for $22 a figure. They are all great looking figures. Though posability is limited on most of them, they just need to stand on the shelf and look good. The amount of accessories really is impressive.

The Queen of Hearts has a knee that won't free up. Disappointing, but she looks great and I love her bloomers. Amazing pack-in figures.

Stitch had an elbow froze as well, but I did get it freed up. Amazing head sculpts and cape. Would have preferred them to leave out the chef hat head, big bread piece and gloves for a swappable torso with 4 arms.

Ben Ali Gator looks great as well, but the near zero forward and backward movement with 2 joints there is so bad. Half tempted to pull him apart and improve it, but like I said earlier, he just needs to look cool on the shelf.

The Big Bad Wolf is the winner of the set, which I wasn't expecting. He just screams classic Disney and the granny outfit and alt head is done so damn well... yeah. Love him!

The Disney license is the one I wish Super7 had been able to keep. Yes, they had QC issues, and yes, joint range could be better on many figures, but damn if the sculpt and paint aren't done well. And I really love their cloth with wires work.

I am a Stitch fiend, so I will generally buy almost ANY Stitch figure they make (I have so many little PVC slug figures of him for this very reason), there was no way I was skipping the S7 version.

I have the Revoltech version, so I have this one rocking the towel "cape" and bikini "hat".

Big Bad Wolf was one I had on preorder once upon a time, but I cancelled it as I had little faith in Super7 delivering the pigs.

has anyone bought a super 7 figure for full retail price and not regretted it?
Some less so than others, but all of them disappoint from the standpoint of range and integrity of articulation. The engineering is some of the worst in modern action figures.

Yeah... charging full price for the tiny guys was a pretty crappy move.
I didn't mind it as much when they claimed, at the beginning, that it was a way to cost everything out; every figure costs the same, so the giant, mega hunk of plastic costs what the small guy costs, and it all evens out in the end. But they almost immediately pivoted to charging more for the bigger figures after like... Turtles wave 3, or something? So.. then it just became another way to fleece customers.

Now that I think about it, I guess they figure nobody is going to buy just a WilyKat or Tomax. So they lure you in with a half-off of one, and you're compelled to pay full price for the other.

I have the Mattel versions already. So I won’t be biting on Kat and Kit unless I find them both discounted at the same time.

TigerSharks has got me finally pulling the trigger on Quicksilver at his crazy reduced BBTS price (I prefer the cartoon colors rather than the metallic). I'm a ThunderCats guy more than the other properties, so having a Mako and Quicksilver to complete the trilogy should probably be enough...
