Star Wars Black Series

I couldn't GIVE that Mace away for awhile. I forget how I ended up with two, but I finally photographed my loose one and then opened the one I had been trying to sell sealed with no takers. I get it - who wants to pay extra shipping for packaging they don't want? And in the process, one of Mace's ankles broke. So I kept the broken one.

Ugh. That figure.

Love both animated series for very different reasons, yeah. Genndy's work is amazing, but the depth of character from the Filoni stuff is unbeatable.

Just more proof Star Wars doesn't have to be one thing.

Speaking of which I gotta get around to watching that third season of Visions.

I have the Obi Wan and Mace Windu. The Obi Wan is using the old clone body so its a little rough. And the face paint is weird. Its like he spray tanned but fucked it up. I wanna get the Grievous but I'm gonna try to get it in the 3 pack on sale. If not I'll be fine without. I would like Fordo but I never saw 1 and I doubt I'll get a good deal on it now. I would definitely take more figures from it though. Durge I thought was especially cool. And his backstory for hating Jango or whatever was an interesting way to time him in. Those cartoons also made Grievous a badass, and when I saw the movie version and how much of a pushover he was I was like "wtf happened to that guy in the last 20 minutes?" Lol.

I'm a big fan of Grievous, or GG, as I call him, but I'll forever be bummed about how they nerfed him for the movie. Like, yeah, the 4 arm thing is cool, but hot damn, is he a badass in the cartoon. Even in the CG Clone Wars, he has his moments (though I feel like they're completely undone when he gets defeated by Gungans). Oh, my poor GG. A one-man Inquisitorious.

I'd have loved a Durge in the Clone Wars line. Hell, I'd still love one. I think he's been fully relegated to Legends status now, but he was still such a damn cool character in that original show. Another unstoppable force, somehow stopped by the ultimate immovable object, Obi-Wan Kenobi. I know a Durge figure would have to be at least a deluxe, but I'm cool with it, especially if they can throw in a tentacle arm or two.

I'd buy a Durge in a heartbeat. I have an extra spot for him in my heart cos he was such a monster game piece in the Star Wars Miniatures game, which remains my barometer by which I measure any Star Wars character selection. I basically just want everyone they made for that game in Black Series.

General Grevious was amazing in his first animated appearance—single handedly taking down so many Jedi! Incredible villain. I was so anticipating seeing Revenge of the Sith to see him on the big screen, so it was really disappointing to see Grevious nerfed so badly.

Durge was amazing, too. He deserves a deluxe figure.

I’d take a redo on Grevious as well.

This conversation just inspired the most evil idea: two packs with Genndy/Filoni character combos. And not logical ones, either. Put Durge with Ima-Gun Di.

I would love to get a figure of Durge. I loved his 3.75" figures when I collected them before Black Series. Something about him, he was just a menacing, imposing looking character. Not only do I want a figure of him, but I'd also like to see him more either in animated or live action. I know he is Canon now again through the comic books, but he has had so few appearances and hasn't really been used as the true threat and powerhouse he is yet.

That's cool that the SCAR 2 Pack is going up along with Lord Starkiller. 2 Things taken care of at once. How many SCAR members have they let out before this 2 Pack of Misty and Cav. Was it just 2?

Were Mic and Kreel the only ones to this point?

As long as we're talking side squads of troops, did they ever finish the clone squad Delta Squadron in Black Series? Like Scorch and all of them. I feel like they did, but it's been so long I don't remember lol.
