Weird pet peeve, but at one point in Hammer Films’ Horror of Dracula, Mina refers to Peter Cushing as “Doctor Helsing” and it drives me NUTS every time I watch that movie. Probably thinking of Van Johnson or Van Heflin, but for crying out loud he’s Dutch! “Van Helsing” is the whole last name. Also it’s weird that folks get shirty about “Abraham”: of all the derpy crap in that Van Helsing movie, perhaps the derpiest is changing his name to “Gabriel”. Cuz yeah, “Gabriel” is a way more badass name than “Abraham”. Sigh.

Well... at least her midriff isn't bare, and thank god the cleavage torso isn't the only option, but man I hate that armour. Everyone else in this line is rocking contemporary tacticool or early 20th century style throwbacks, while the nuns are living in the near future with some kinda Mass Effect gear which is bulky as fuck everywhere except where the vital organs are.

I have a feeling her upper thighs/hips are bare. Presumably, as she is a nun, this is so her hips will not lie. Also the crotch piece seems strangely tall. Like there's too much distance between her hip and her waist.

I dunno. I'm just going to have to wait for the in hand pics because the renders aren't doing it for me so far. The vibe is weird relative to the rest of the line and I'm not sure about the proportions.
 
Coming from the "singularity" I8TOYS thread I have to say if they really wanted to make the nun work, they need to make her breasts twistable. Nerds love a woman with big, twistable breasts (apparently).
 
Listened to the podcast. The ‘dark directives’ is a mini wave/side quest from the main season waves. Part 2 of season 3 will have the nun and some other female figures. That red Dracula is a re-release of the previous exclusive but this one will be boxed and have an explanation for the look. The Phantom Corp Declan is a prequel figure so he doesn’t have the scar yet and has been their traveling exclusive figure. 1 in every 8 Chatsworths will have the removable t-shirt. I know I’m going to be driving myself nuts tracking that down if mine does come with it. Sigh.
 
The nun's accessories actually look super cool. That might be one of the nicer swords I've seen in a 1:12 line that isn't in the 100-ish dollar range.
But godfuckingdamn I hate the bare hips and shoulders so much.

I always thought it was hilarious that Bram Stoker named his badass weirdo doctor Abraham (I can't even put a Matt in one of my own books and it's like a top three most common name in the world) but it always strikes me as weird when productions change it. Not like Stoker's around to make it awkward.
 
I will 100% NOT need a shirt for Chatsworth, so if I'm somehow lucky enough to get one, I'll happily help out someone who cares lol. Now if he comes with the shirt because he doesn't come with something else advertised, I'll be miffed.

I kinda really want the all-invisible Eraser. Hopefully he goes up online like the previous con exclusives, too.

I'm not sure I need another Fwoosh skelly, though maybe I can get one of those translucent blue ones.

And I'm super excited for Doctor Caligari, because I'm a big fan of his Cabinet. (Lol, for real though, if you've never seen the movie, it's a classic!)
 
BBTS just announced a new pre-Halloween drop. Some skeletons (using the Fwooshtoys Skeleton mold) and a re-release of translucent red Dracula.

They picture one skeleton in a red robe holding a machine gun, similar to the classic Marvel GI Joe cover.

I'm all skeletoned out.... but maybe nice for those who celebrate.

Well thats what I get for posting before catching up on all the existing posts apparently.

Actually his first post just had the clear invisible man.... I didn't notice the second time it was posted it included additional pages.

And looking at it now I hadn't previously seen that Phantom Corps Command Unit... which looks like something I'm going to want.

I saw the purple translucent Eraser from way back and was like "HA, I don't need an all-invisible Eraser!"

Okay fine if a CLEAR invisible Eraser is easily attainable, I might cave. Though part of what I love about the main line release is the use of empty space like the eyes and forearms to show he's invisible without leaving him monochrome.
