Operation Monster Force

The suit buck is fantastic and the Blackwatch Agent and General Brown are two of my favorites in the entire line. Simple figures when well executed are irresistible to me. If these weren’t $40 each I’d probably pick up another pair of each of them.

It's that price point that makes it tough. I'd get 2-3 generals at 26 bucks each but not at 40. Same with the agent, since I'd get their head pack, too.

The more I mess with Donner Party the more he feels less impressive than I expected. He's a good figure, but I think I built him up too much in my mind.

Yep, I’d like to see lower priced figures with minimal to no accessories that can be used with the accessory packs and extra parts from the ‘normal’ figures in the line. $37-40 is just too much to army build the way they are intending. Even Classified is making that harder and harder to do as they climb from $20 to nearly $30.

I don't have any of this, but a Monopoly Chance in my favour gave me some BBTS credit.

Which two are coolest?
I think that’s really going to depend on what you are in to. There is the monster aspect to some figures and a more military aspect to others. The Delta Reds are a mix of that with vampire heads and military gear. The zombies also have that cross over but don’t have the option of going just as a military figure that could accompany GI Joes outside of being corpses. The Sleepwalkers are good generic bad guys.

Dr. Caligari is a unique figure in that he’s a brain. General Brown is a great generic military leader that can be used with many other lines. The Eraser has a unique pattern to his fatigues and the clear bits are fun. The Donner Party is an interesting take on Frankenstein, and it works for me. Dracula is the big name here but the figure isn’t a stand out among the line.

I’m not sure I could pick just two. Honestly, there isn’t a bad figure in the bunch. Some are better values than others in terms of accessories or alternative parts (Dracula is probably the one with the least value in that regard but sells on name recognition). If you’re not looking to go deep beyond the two, I’d recommend getting figures you can identify a place for in your existing collection. General Brown is an easy stand in for General Ross or Joe Colton for example and could go in a Marvel Legends or GI Joes Classified collection easily.

Well... at least her midriff isn't bare, and thank god the cleavage torso isn't the only option, but man I hate that armour. Everyone else in this line is rocking contemporary tacticool or early 20th century style throwbacks, while the nuns are living in the near future with some kinda Mass Effect gear which is bulky as fuck everywhere except where the vital organs are.

Agree with Buttmunch - it's really about what you want thematically cos you can't go wrong. My personal favorite are Van Helsing (sucker for someone with arcane tattoos, honestly) and Dracula cos he fits in as Dracula in every line that matches this scale. But the vampire troopers are great generics. Donner Party is very unique. Eraser is very satisfying with the way he combines overlays nd clear plastic. Dr. Caligari is just fucken WEIRD and that's awesome.

I do wish I'd picked up the general but if he shares most of a buck with the agent it's a superior suit body to what we've gotten from other lines.

Which two are coolest?
If I had to pick just two, I'd say go for the Sleepwalker aerial assault trooper and the Delta Red Nightshade unit.

The Nightshade unit can either be Declan OR a vampire soldier (or a non-specific helmeted soldier) and comes with loads of add-ons and accessories to customize it.

The aerial assault trooper is a vaguely-Nazi looking enemy trooper with either a weird flight helmet and rocket pack OR werewolf head and hands.

With these, you can either go all-in with a vampire soldier using a silver-spiked assault rifle to fight a Nazi werewolf armed with an electric gun or just dip your toe into a special forces soldier facing off against an advanced fascist rocket commando.

My favorites are the zombies. The recon unit especially. They look so good posed up in zombie poses. I know they are supposed to function as soldiers in this world and can use their weapons and such but in my mind they are just normal soldiers that got turned so I have mine posed with some of them just dragging their weapons along one-handed. I may have gone a little overboard buying zombies.

Is the Phantom Corps command unit supposed to be Declan? Looks like the same face minus the scar.
It IS Declan minus the scar. They're calling it Wave 0 because it's kind of prequel figures to the main line.

In the name patches, he has one for "V Helsing" which isn't how that works at all.
