Mattel MOTU Chronicles Movie Figures

So, getting this guy home last night, and yeah, while he certainly may feel like a smaller figure, the pics that have been out there don't lie. He is definitely Masterverse scale.

Towers over Marvel Legends, and most 6 to 6 and 1/2 inch lines--but put him side by side with a Revelation Man-At-Arms, for example, and he is the same.

The difference, however, is in the engineering. This figure is light-years great beyond anything Masterverse that it doesn't even seem like it's from the same company/property. They definitely won't mesh well together, imo.

Really makes me wonder what the heck the plan is with Chronicles then. What sub-line is this guy a part of? Are they really going to make us buy the "regular" (i.e., non-movie) versions of all the characters yet again?

Here he is next to Rhea Ripley

I'm happy to have a ball jointed waist because I'm so tired of waist swivels, but it's not really adding much, unlike Hasbro who really stepped it up with Gamerverse Wolverine.

Scare Glow could just be a big dude. That's my hope. We've already seen Chronicles He-Man is fairly small (compared to Masterverse He-Mans). If it just turns out he's a short king and every other figure is 7"+, I'mma be pissed but not surprised at Mattel's stupidity.

Edit: Is Rhea's figure really like 7" clean?

So what specifically are the engineering upgrades? Above post says ball jointed waist. What else?
Overall, smoother range of motion. The upper abdominal/chest motion is just easier to move, the elbows are different and move better.

Whereas I felt that many of my Masterverse figures had a clunkiness to them, the ab joint met resistance, etc., I get none of that on this guy.

My measurements are 6.75" for Scare Glow, 6 5/8" for Rhea, and 7 3/8" for AE He-Man.

Scare Glow is noticeable less wide. I think his arms might be too long.

He's Scary and he Glows. What should we name him?

That's a good shot, right? No photo enhancements. I had him under a light, turned it off, and quickly snapped the photo.

He's definitely got gorilla arms, for sure. Still looks better than Masterverse, proportionally (especially the earlier ones). But yowza those are long arms. You know a lot of people that can stretch their fingers down at their sides and touch their knees?

Definitely seems like a weird scale going on here. Smaller than any true 7" lines, but possibly too big for every other line. Unless SG is an outlier and happens to be tall.
