I agree that doesn't really pass the smell test. But if its a hoax or something its incredibly elaborate.Yeah, I still don't know about this. Mattel sent me a defective Masterverse figure, so to make up for it they sent me an unannounced figure from a line that hasn't come out yet? On purpose? (He literally said they offered him the Chronicles figure.)
If that's true, it might be the absolute wildest shit I've ever heard from Mattel and I guarantee someone would get fired.
We know Scare-Glow was likely scheduled for Masterverse based on the art that came with one of the more recent figures (I can't remember which). Masterverse Scare-Glow being a leftover MV figure that gets added to Chronicles would make sense. The figure itself seems real. Now whether its a custom i dont know, but I think its a physical item.
The box art looks like leftover MV art, so it could have been originally designed for that and shifted over or somesuch. As for the size; having Scareglow be on the large size, especially if not played by an actor in the film, isnt the worst idea ever.
I HOPE it's real, it looks awesome.
Yeah the wrists are the new style too, I noticed that as well. But I mean there were rumors of a Chronicles line awhile ago; Maybe the Masterverse line was always meant to transition over and the design style updated. I mean the New Eternia stuff was an update on the Animated style they started in, so its not out of the question. One thing about that Scare-Glow is that it appears to have the new ball-jointed torso and butterfly shoulders of the movie figures.
