MAFEX DC Figures

What is the gasmask look from? When they're running through the sewers from Supes?

It's been a minute.

I think so. I seem to recall the tunnel floods or something during the fight, right?

Does anyone display their figures using accessories like that? Not knocking them, just actually curious. I've never put a figure on a shelf using a head sculpt like that.

Nah. I never use stuff like that long term. Maybe photos or playing.

Grimacing or whatever for a temporary refresh. But never that.

If we're going this deep with the Clark and Bruce, I'm going to hold out hope for Lois, since we can basically call that chapter complete with her, which is cool they are that dialed in on it.

I appreciate that another smiling Superman headsculpt exists, it should be a standard inclusion for every single Supes action figure and I won't ever buy one without the option. But I also hope MAFEX makes a Supes with a smiling head that isn't based on Jim Lee art. Don't much care for his takes on most characters.

I'm whelmed by these reveals, honestly. It's good though...couldn't afford to plunk down that kind of cash on both of them.

Not ordering any more until I get my Tim Drake Robin, which has now been delayed to March, according to the most recent email from amiami.

I ordered both because I don't think we'll ever get a Bruce or Clark like this from anyone else. Once in a collection figures. A little trepidatious about both arriving around Xmas time this year but given the delays on Robin etc. I'm guessing we don't see them until well into 2027. Worth the 13 dollars of non-refundable fees from BBTS even if life changes and I can't do the full price later on.

I canceled all my Japan based Mafex preorders with the tariff uncertainty, immediately preordered Rogue at BBTS (and recently at Amiami), but the only other figure I re-preordered was the Punisher. Not buying an Iceman or Jubilee would've been unthinkable a year ago

With Mezco, I sold almost everything. I don't have plans on parting with Mafex. This is basically a cost issue.

MAFEX scratched nearly every itch for me. My DC collection is close to complete thanks to them. I had to plug some gaps—Constantine, Swamp Thing, and Wonder Woman—with Mattel/Mezco figures, but I don't have any pressing needs. (I wouldn't say no to Two-Face or Brainiac, but I can live without them.)

Given how lean the Hush figures are in particular, I'm waiting to see if LPZZ or InArt will replace what I already have. I don't think they can top Nightwing or Bane, but I'm leaving the door open for a new Joker, Batman, and Catwoman. I'd love to replace those Mattel figures, too.

A few points from Kaijudaddy's talk with a source in his "Sinking Ship" video.
Mafex trying to crush CT with reissues. He says they're obsessed with CT Toys, compares it to Ahab and Moby Dick.
Higher prices on new releases balances the law requirement to sell reissues at the original price.
Kaijudaddy says he might be out if they increase another price point.
Stealthier releases of reissues (the quick turnaround from announcement to release) allows them to hide or fudge the number of units from the ip holder.
