Loosecollector

Looks really good. Wish I had the $ for it, but I can admire from afar.

Looks good, but every LC item I've owned never lives up to my posing expectations, so I'll just admire it here.
This is true. I only have two of them, Lady Death and Red Sonja. Both look good, but have to have doll stands to keep them up (and Sonja tends to fall over even with that).

I used to be die hard for all of it, but they just don't get the range or personality I want, and while I've been spared, I know the QC is still dodgy.

This horse looks cool as hell, though.

After Taarna I could see alot of people being skeptical of this one. I'd wait till its out for reviews and so QC issues can be checked.

Honestly, I think the Savage Crucible one looks like it's going to be a cooler toy, more fun to mess with, and I prefer the aesthetics of it by just a little bit.

Is there a reason my Grendel is basically the finest 6in figure I've ever bought? Reading this thread gives a very different impression of LooseCollector than this figure in my hand does.

They gonna make GrendelPrime, or what?

I like the figures. They're beautiful. But Taarna was a fuckin mess, and it broke instantly out of box for almost anyone that bought it. And not like just one piece. The figure fuckin fell apart on the review I watched, and the comments were of people saying the same shit happened to theirs. Ankles breaking, wrists breaking, and the paint was nothing like the solicitation (even though that happens alot, it was still a big thing). This was the super expensive one people waited over a year for too, with the flying dinosaur. And the first run of black suit Lady Death and Hellwitch both had issues with arm and leg joints breaking. Not to mention they are way overpriced. The figures are nice. They look good. But the breakage issues, the fact they can barely stand on their own, and that they look just slightly better then Marvel Legends (and not even in some cases) the price is steep. I try to get them on sale if I can. Its just no one else is making these characters. And I really enjoyed them when I was younger. I bought all the Clayburn Moore stuff. Some of it was probably horny teen angst. But I think I get alot of my love for darker characters and darker stories from Lady Death and Witchblade. I enjoyed the stories. I think if there was an alternative, slightly cheaper but same quality I would definitely go that route. But they're the only game in town even trying to make 1/12 figures of these. I still need a fuckin Witchblade figure that isn't absolute garbage. And I am in the process of buying parts for a Lara Croft custom but I'm hitting a few snags and the pieces are more expensive then I wanna spend on it right now. I was looking into making my own Witchblade, but I'm not good enough for all the sculpting work. I bought his Red Sonja and I absolutely love that figure. But I got the Boss Fight one too, and it looks a little better, comes with tons of shit, and its cheaper then the LC one, by a nice margin. I want that gold armor LD with wings. But I'm not paying that price for it. As is I preordered the reissue of the black suit one, and its still like $30 more then it was when it first came out. But you can't find the old one for under like $100 aftermarket anymore. So its the $80 or nothing lol.

So there's this guy that does comic auctions online. Not ebay, some live stream thing. They call him Beta. But anyway, he has basically a PoL feature he does for his customers but he'll keep them for a long ass time and just let them pile up for people. My friend actually bought me, without me knowing, I think it was the first 6 or 12 issues or something of Lady Death. And they're sitting in his box waiting for a couple of other things to ship it to me. I don't remember how many he got but he said it was like the first run of some singles. That was really fuckin cool of him.

I got and liked Lady Death, Grendel soon enough, and Trese some day if she EVER appears for sale anywhere again. I'd probably get Chastity and Evil Ernie if they made them, Darkness, Witchblade, etc. Otherwise, the figures are way too expensive for my blood, and are either characters I don't give a single shit about (Youngblood), or based on the least appealing incarnations of each respective character (Dynamite Comics).

I’m starting to worry a bit about the final QC of the Sasquatch and Yeti I preordered from reading some of the comments, big figures with high joint stress….

I have Grendel, Sonja, Vampirella, and Purgatori. Grendel feels like he came from a different company and time. Maybe LC just has a hard time designing female figures?
Give me Prime, Christine, Eppy, Brian... I'll buy them all!

I have the Roja figure which is basically a repaint of Le Muerta, and it is very solid. So it looks like they may have fixed some of the QC issues. But I'd still be cautious of the bigger stuff, and watch reviews before getting any of it.
