Looking at the head next to the Werewolf, which I have, is just a bit gobsmacking. It's going to be enormous.
Like a tripod.Jebus; that's gonna be Mini-Me-sized; ain't it?
Sorry about these figures. After reading this, I canceled my Yeti, Bigfoot and Skookum. Until I read any good reviews on them, I won't be buying them.So I got Dilim, the great wolf yesterday, hoping the 2nd run was better. Nope. I got what is essentially a beautiuful piece of shit. I put it in hot water right up front as his upper waist and several leg joints were froze. Did minor posing yesterday, as I was away most of the day. Today the waist and ankle joints were stuck again and realized the neck was as well. I've got everything moving now, but he still can't stand properly because as uber-tight as almost every joint is, the lower waist joint is beyond loose. He just flops forward and back at that spot so it fall forward one time, and backwards the next.
I knew I should have held firm and not bought him. I may toss some gorilla glue down there to tighten the joint up, and the irony of having to do that is not lost on me.
I rode the train for a while, but LC has been consistently QC for me, so I reluctantly hopped off.I haven't bought anything LooseCollector, but that's definitely a bummer for everyone who has. You'd think, at the prices they're charging for boutique toys these days, they'd work a lot harder to make sure things come out as close to perfect as possible. But it almost feels like the opposite a lot of the time.
The astronauts look to be soft goods, and likely low production, so that could be playing a part in the price.Anyone know what's up with the pricing on 2001: Space Odyssey figures from Executive Replicas? The 5 astronauts at 1:12 scale are $371 each and the 1:12 HAL9000 is $795. Is this a licensing issue? Even in the context of action figure pricing increasing to absurd extents at absurd rates, these prices are a few standard deviations above the mean.
I saw those today and wondered what the hell was up with that price. They must have sold enough of their $350 Death Dealers to make them think they can keep going.Anyone know what's up with the pricing on 2001: Space Odyssey figures from Executive Replicas?
They can't keep going alright...right out the damned door with those prices!I saw those today and wondered what the hell was up with that price. They must have sold enough of their $350 Death Dealers to make them think they can keep going.
