Jada Toys Scooby Doo

The fact that they can only show packaging renders tells me all I need to know. LOL! Those spring/summer and autumn/winter are definitely best case scenario. I really enjoy Jada's work, but this is exactly why I don't want them to get a bigger IP.

Preternia on Twitter posted this look at what looks like Jada’s whole line up for 2026, including Scooby wave 2 and 3.

Interestingly, the wave 2 villains are once again missing. Kinda concerning.
That is very strange. I could understand if Jada got scared off of making the Sea Demon, based on the collective "who?" reaction when he was revealed. But if we don't get the Spooky Space Kook for some reason, that would be a major disappointment!

I also personally wish Charlie the Robot were in his more toned down colors from his first episode, rather than the eye-searing pink torso that has become his look later on.

Maybe we’ll get a variant of Charlie later on. Jada loves their variants.

Definitely a bit concerning about the villains, especially since the pics included there are just animated mock-ups, not even final product. I can't imagine they'd consider Scooby himself an entire wave, unless he cost them that much to tool. Like others said, I'm cool if we end up losing the Sea Demon, but losing SSK would be a huge bummer. Hopefully it's just an oversight on their part and an overreaction on ours.

I'll be honest, I've had real concerns about the villains moving a fraction as many units as the gang. I'm only getting Shaggy and Scooby. The villains are probably dicey, even for those getting the main five.

It's tough when every figure is a unique sculpt. I don't know how Jada makes the economics work. At least they can recolor the Street Fighter figures.

I mean, you totally have a point, and probably aren't wrong. The villains are probably the tougher sell, though at least for me, I think I may want the villains more than the gang themselves. We've gotten versions of the gang over the years- albeit none as good as these- so they feel less crucial in a weird way. I mean, they are the show, after all. But also, there doesn't really feel like as much of a point to them, at least for my display, without a bunch of the iconic villains to surround them. Some of the more generic ones as well, you can easily work into a display or photoshoot for other lines as well- the Mummy certainly, as nothing about it really screams "Scooby Doo", per se; maybe even Captain Cutler as a generic spooky diver.

Knowing nothing of how Jada works, I'd assume they could perhaps recoup a bit of their cost on re-releasing the gang members in different colors. Shaggy is a super easy repaint for the red shirt version, and I'd assume you can re-use most of Scooby's for a Dum, etc. Of course it's easy for me to sit here and say what Jada should be doing, but from an outside perspective, it at least feels pretty easy, if it comes to it.

Who knows- maybe they just spent so much time trying to figure Scooby out that they're a bit behind on the villains, and so, while technically part of the same wave, they'll get released separately from Scooby, so at least we'll have Scooby ready to go along with Shaggy. I ain't giving up hope just yet; it was a whole lot of radio silence before we even got these, and as we know, Jada does things on their own schedule.

I was originally only going to get the Mystery Inc. gang but I have to say that after I bought the first 2 villains with Shaggy that I'm very glad that I did. I'll probably continue to buy whatever they make. I enjoy Jada, but they're so slow. With a lot of other companies it feels like they reveal something and you have it in a few weeks, which makes this someone torturous. If they had gotten the DC or Marvel line like some people wanted then I think that I would have lost my mind. I'm not as attached to Invincible, Scooby or Street Fighter to be in quite as much of a hurry.

If we are going to start cancelling the monsters and ghouls, I'm out. They are just as part of the show as the gang to me.

Like just mentioned, they're slow enough. That is aggravating in its own. If they are going to start showing us shit, then ripping it away, no thanks. I can take my coin elsewhere.

At the toy show yesterday, a common banter with vendors who had Jada product for sale was how excruciatingly slow they are. And at least at the Enthusiast Level of toy show attendees, it really felt like the tide had turned on them and Storm is the new hotness.

Which is funny, because a year or so ago Jada was the golden child and Storm was out.
