Jada Toys Scooby Doo

Amen! The wait is awful. This is why I'm glad that Jada doesn't have a line I care more about.

I've bought all of the Street Fighter figures just because Jada is killing it even though I care nothing about the Street Fighter intellectual property.

Looking forward to Invincible as well, but the pacing on releases is rough.

I even picked up Count Chocula and Franken Berry at Ross based upon how impressed I've been with Jada, but would love to see an increase in pace as long as it doesn't have a negative impact on quality.
 
I just ordered Shaggy from BBTS because Jada has been doing so good with other lines I just want if nothing else the core gang, but I also ordered him not thinking about how long he'll be alone on the shelf.
 
They showed off Scooby Wave 2 and Invincible so long ago I thought for sure they'd be at least pre-orderable by now.
 
Agreed- the wait is painful. Hopefully it'll be later- but not too much later- this year. I'd rather wait a bit to be able to pre-order and have them ship sooner than just blindly throw up a pre-order and have it sitting for ages. I know them wanting to wait to figure out Scooby is a good thing- you gotta be able to nail the title character- but it is a bummer. Hopefully he'll be the trickiest character to get right, and since the rest are more or less humanoid, they can get released much quicker. 2 waves a year feels pretty good if possible; I don't wanna wait half a decade to get the entire gang.
 
I got Shaggy this week because I like Jada enough I know I'm going to at least want the Mystery crew if not the villains and he really is a great little figure, but yeah, now the wait. I didn't rush to get him specifically because of the wait but I also knew I'd be super annoyed if I couldn't find him in a year. Hoping Jada does that thing they've done with Street Fighter and after a long wait just sort of accidentally drops two waves at the same time.
 
From your lips to the Toy God's ears, doc. I assume Scooby was the big holdup for wave 2; they said they really wanted to get him right, and he was proving a bit tricky. I think that's why we saw the villains so long after seeing Scooby for the first time. Now that Scoob's been figured out and the villains revealed, I'd assume (and hope) they'd be full steam ahead on production, especially since they already unveiled wave 3- even had a painted, working prototype for Daphne they showed off. So even if they don't drop wave 2 and 3 at the same time, hopefully the wait between is much shorter. Toy Fair is in just a few weeks, so hopefully we'll hear something then. This may arguably be the line I'm most excited for and invested in, so any news is welcome at this point!

I have a feeling that wave 3 will wind up dropping in close proximity to wave 2. I'm doing the same thing...waiting to buy Shaggy until a little closer to Scooby being released. I've thought about getting him and leaving him in the box until I get Scoob, but...I know I'd wind up caving and opening him up only to regret it when he's sitting by himself...all lonely without his best pal.

Do it. Give in to the temptation. What if Jada randomly chose you as the indicator, and they're waiting until you pull the trigger to announce a release for wave 2?! Shaggy being terrorized by the Creeper and the Mummy (The Crummy) is a good enough display until ol' Scoob comes to play!

All you need to display Shaggy by himself is a barrel, or potted plant, or suit of armor & you can plausibly pretend Scooby Doo is hiding inside!
