Hasbro Made-to-Order Figures

I think I’m willing to die on this hill today but I’m glad I got five of these bastsrds. I’ve been laughing myself silly. Between these figures and Gamerverse Wolverine I’ve pretty much scratched off two of my biggest wants that I’ve been seeking since 1993.

I've been thinking about how to display the broken bits and it occurs to be I've got access to a 3d scanner. So I might just take it, scan the head minus all the pieces and print a "blank" to put the spare bits on to go into my display like the Haslab parts.
That, sir, is ingenious!
If you are successful in your endeavors, and are willing to print-up another, I would be more than willing to throw some cash at you like your name was Magic Mike so I could also have one with which I could do the same.

I caved and ordered one tonight too, darn it...after adding and deleting it about 4 times. The classic, basic Sentinels towering over Scott and blasting off into space to kill the sun because it's a source of mutation has kind of been burned into my brain for decades and this guy is the closest thing to.

Maybe the extras exists solely for every single post in this thread so far justifying picking one up after the fact.

They know X-Men butters the bread.

Feels like about the right time that at one point or another, the X-Men comic tree had about 50 consecutive branches dangling from it.

Uncanny X-Men

X-Men

X-Factor

X-Force

X-Caliber

Generation X

Alpha Flight

Wolverine

Cable

Deadpool

X-Man

Quicksilver

Rogue

Kazar & Shanna (post Marvel Knights)

Now for the mini series

Gambit

Deadpool had a few

Sabretooth

Cyclops and Phoenix

Magneto

The various AoA titles

There was also the myriad of prestige bound one shots and graphic novels. Honestly statistically speaking if you wanted to work at Marvel around 93-97, you were sent over to the X-Men offices and just added to this sales Juggernaut (no pun intended)

Everyone always says that Spider-Man is marvel’s mascot but not even Spidey could compete with the glut of X books that were on store shelves at any point in history

I'll let you know how far I get with it.

I had to look this up because I didn't get the reference..X-Men #59! Good stuff.

I'm pretty sure Ryan Ting said they were planning to make a few more than the number of pre-orders during the original reveal stream for the Sentinel but that it wouldn't be many and they would run out not long after release. I assume that's their plan for all of them, and certainly we've seen Dragon Man available well after release.

Doubt we'll see this for long though since it's one of the most popular X-villains, and based upon the counts we're seeing in the page code it's not going to last more than a few days before running out. I'd definitely buy 2-3 more if I had the space, but 3 Haslab versions plus 2 of this one already eats up too much space unless i kick some family members out of my house.

I wonder if raising the price is also part of the plan or the result of costs increasing since solicitation? It makes sense if it is and they plan to continue this format as it will help drive preorders if collectors know the price will only increase and they can spin it as rewarding for their most loyal customers.

Tariffs kicked in between initial preorder and now.

So decided after seeing more pics (and looking at what I could potentially sell the HasLab and other assorted Sentinels for), decided to pick up a trio of these guys.

Now need to move on from the HasLab and Marvel Universe and old ToyBiz BAF for this, as really, these are the Sentinels as I think of them more than the HasLab and past iterations... Kind of like trading in a car... I might break even, we'll see.
