General Marvel Legends

I wonder if some of the bonkers sales on McFarlane DC figures that have cloth capes will encourage Hasbro to deploy these more regularly in Legends...

I hope they transition Marvel Legends to be nothing but never-done versions of Wolverine, so we can live together in the perpetual liminal space of 'never been done' and 'total redo' until the stars go dark.
Honestly, if it gets me my Albert...

I personally hope not. I know some people love these but in my experience the cheap material used for these do not hold up well over time. Part of that for me though is also that I don't have enclosed displays like others do. All of my shelves are open.

I think it's safe to say the back half of the year will be MCU heavy, but I'm curious if MCU fans only want stuff based on the latest movie. Seems like they're wanting missed or improved stuff from older content in the "off" season which they are not getting lately.

Dan posted this on X/Twitter:

"Setting of expectations: We will not have a fan stream in March! But we still have some preorders for already revealed stuff in March and older preorders still up and available. April could be fun tho Thank you Marvel Legends community"

I have a feeling this is going to be a pretty big year for you.
I dont. I think we are getting Doomsday stuff and BND stuff, sure. But just 1 wave each. Not including the Deadpool wave that is launching soon. My expectations are very low, especially for the BND stuff cause it seems like the villains and such will be a wait like they were for NWH.

I can tell you the lack of getting those gap fillers is making me not care as much about new movie product

As a fellow primary MCU collector, I feel your pain. Though I do think that, while perhaps not an absolute avalanche of stuff, if the rumors are to be believed, then Doomsday may bring at least a decent amount of things- a full wave, plus a couple 2 packs, so comparable to a wave and a half or so. Sounds like another wave of Deadpool stuff might be releasing later this year too, so it's something.

I don't think we'll ever return to what we had before, even when MCU movies come out more frequently, but at this point, I'll take what I can get.

This seems like it would have been the perfect year to 18 months to do a gap-filler MCU wave or two and get caught up before Doomsday and keep the collectors interested.

I think, to Hasbro, that's probably what the Deadpool wave is. It counts as a gap-filler Saga wave because they didn't get around to doing them the first time. Doesn't matter that they didn't know they were in the movie or not, it's still going back and doing "old" product at this point.
