G.I. Joe Classified - News & Updates

Ugh, why? Looks like that Snake Eyes is just a repaint of the body they used or the SE/Timber two-pack and that body is maybe the worst SE body they've done so far.
Literally the only Snake Eyes they've done so far I don't like. Bad hip articulation, bad waist/torso articulation. I mean if they improved those old issues, I am a fully admitted sucker for Snake Eyes variations, and I like the green goggles, but I'd rather they use any of his other bucks.

Who's inside the stealth bubble, another tele-viper variant?

Also had weird proportions, one of the rare fails, I think, with their kitbashing attempts.

I think it's a Retro Viper repaint.

I’m a little disappointed they are still using pinned limbs; there’s truly no need to do that. But that is a cool deco for Snake-Eyes and they wisely included a Steel Corps helmet. Ferret looks good in green.
Stealth Trubble Bubble with stealthy Viper is cool as hell.

Also interesting: that Snake-Eyes is like half City Strike/Resolute and half “original deco” prototype Snake-Eyes.

Y'know, I don't want another trouble bubble but that looks like a good stand-in for Interrogator. Just sayin'.

I was just mentioning elsewhere that when I purged a lot of my extra and unJoySparking Joes, pins were a factor. Even if I liked it, if it had a pin, it's out.

And maybe it's just because I had some of these stored, but a lot of the pre 24 figures had seized up knees that felt like resin if I forced it, and the hips finally felt like everyone was saying all along. Storm Shadow had a disgusting click and tension that even hot water didn't save, plus was yellowing, so I sadly cut him.

Point being, yeah to pins, but also cautiously disappointed to hear the newest wave has issues. But I also felt like something was up when Rattler Baroness was slightly rescaled and Leatherneck was wrong.

Aha! Looks like RoC deco Bubble:
Yep I still have this version of the Trouble Bubble along with the blue command version for Cobra Commander. So I won't be surprised if they do another repaint in blue.

As to pins and reuse I kind of expect it thanks to the same issue with Marvel Legends. ML is still using 10+ year old molds for new figures even though they have new, pinless, molds. I know there is only so much capacity for mold use and old molds are a necessity when making 50+ figures a year (and to save money). So unfortunately I think we'll be stuck with pins for years to come.

Regarding the pics. I like the green Ferret, even if it is a tad bland. The SE looks good but yeah the older body isn't great.

The Trouble Bubble looks fine. As I said I have the 25th era version so I know what to expect. I need to see the figure more clearly because it looks like a mash-up figure but I can't be certain.

Ohhhhhh the placard in the video says those two vehicles are a TWO-PACK.

So the bubble and the ferret will come TOGETHER. Oy.

I know it's probably weird but I really did want male patern baldness on Airtight. I was really hoping they wouldn't supermodel him. Maybe this means Grand Slam will have dadface too.

... a vehicle two-pack? Hasbro. DUDE. WHY. (That video was helpful to confirm that's just a full reprint of Snake Eyes in another olor. I was hoping he might have an updated lower half or something.

I swear I must be some kind of action figure collector sociopath because I don't even notice pins or pinless unless someone points it out to me. I'm hyper-focused on how smooth the joints work but don't really look at the pin situation. Not sure why.

Hey Alt, any particular figures other than Storm Shadow giving you trouble you'd point out? It's funny, this summer it was so hot here all my stuck joint problems went away, even my VIPERS no longer had stuck hips, but then it's been so cold that even in a pretty temperature-controlled location in the house a lot of the problem figures regressed.

Jesus Christ!!!!

What on earth are they thinking? If they are charging between $55US-$60US for these individually (before now) combined they would be at least $110US together, and I wouldn't put it past them to try asking $125US.
