Action Force and Valaverse

I turned away for TWO GODDAMNED SECONDS and I missed the fun. Did Bobby come back to troll some more?
It’s honestly not fun. It never feels good to have to deal with a troll, which is what this guy turned out to be. I take no pleasure in banning folks.

But please: let’s move forward. Giving attention to this guy is what he wants.

Possibly hot take: I *love* Maggie Siff’s acting.
I don't know if I even had a problem with her acting. I didn't like how they handled the character though. Of the 'shrew that is an obstacle for the bad-guy-main-character to have his fun misbehavior' characters, she isn't the worst in my opinion, but the writing choices really got tedious to me.

I love Skylar White, too. In fact, I was 💯 on her side all the time. Fuck Walt. Fuck Walt from episode fucking one.
mmmmmm I wouldn’t call either of them “shrews”. I don’t know how I would act if I were a woman entangled with a violent psychopath, but I’d say all the “shrew” behavior was totally justified.

Yeah, Maggie's a fine actress. She just got stuck in the Ophelia role, which is so often misread and misplayed in the way you describe.

Well... I did not like Skylar, mostly for some of her choices not directly related to Walter, BUT... as far as Walter goes, I was also 100% on her side and was firmly on the "Fuck Walter White" bandwagon from the first episode. That show was SOOOO hard for me to get through, especially since I was told "you have to watch this" by friends who had the attitude of "oh boy, can't wait to see how Walter's gonna get out of this one!" while watching it live. I was always wanting him to get caught or killed or something. I. fucking. hated. Walter White.

Well, and I don't mean to do some verbal handwave with that word, but it's kinda how I see the writers treating the wife in some of these shoes, like Carmella Soprano or Corrine Mackie, etc. Some are better handled than others, and some are truly, truly wonderful characters in their own right, my favorite being Kim Wexler, who is a deeply complex, wonderful, and flawed character in her own right while being so easy for me to sympathize with and root for.
