It's 'cause Dream Girl needs to keep those ring fingers vacant for me.Like, I believed you. I'm just confused. We have a finger for rings! It's named for that! This is why those jerks keep getting rebooted.

IDK man, I see Superman tats on trucks and gym bros who don't even know what reading is. Same for the Bat and Diana. It’s my hot take and I’ll stick with it for now. Something else to divert resources away from DC. In a company where underperforming executives get multi million dollar bonuses for drawing breath, my confidence is waning.
WWE runs on its own inertia. TMNT does too. It’s a smaller universe with a bigger visible footprint. At least amongst younger demographics. More upside than selling 20 different Batmen and the occasional Nightmaster. To the exact audience Mattel wants.

I've never seen anyone with Foot clan or the turtle shell on their car. I have seen Autobot and Deceptacon logos by the hundreds before I've even seen any TMNT rep outside of the odd t-shirt within a nerd third space.
Intellectually speaking, I understand and support the nature of capitalism, if not the modern practice of it. Including all the vagaries of cronyism, nepotism, government involvement, and so forth. This is true. Batman, and to a lesser extent, Superman and Wonder Woman sell. Period. They sell. I have been to over 40 San Diego Comic Cons and I have talked to a LOT of publishers, toy companies, big box retailers, comic shop owners, movie execs, distributors, animators and you name it. And everyone who's had the DC license has said the same thing. Batman sells and sells and sells. These people are in business to make money. They want what sells. When Geoff Walker was the DC brand manager at Mattel he told me the license was worth what they paid just for Batman. Everything else was just icing.
Yeah, but you have to admit that there's a difference between 'Mattel is going to treat this like the red-headed stepchild of their brands' and 'they're going to treat this like anyone else would treat it and make all the big characters everyone wants to see and that's not what I personally want.'Intellectually speaking, I understand and support the nature of capitalism, if not the modern practice of it. But this is a me problem. Not the tens or hundreds of thousands of people worldwide with money in hand who collect action figures. I’m simply not interested in DC’s Trinity anymore. And will likely practice my capitalism in other venues. After Todd is done anyway. But I never say never. Impress me Mattel.
Red. Headed. Step. The equivalent of me saying that Hasbro has massively disrespected the Marvel brand because they didn't make Kylun. Even though that is, actually, a true statement and a bad example.
