And the winner of the 2025 Best Figure of the Year Award goes to...

Did Ketch Ghost Rider come out this year? If so, that is my favorite, and therefore the best, figure released this year. Gamerverse Punisher might qualify but I haven't bought him yet.
He was 2024, though I got him early this year. He really is freaking amazing, and probably tops the figures I actually got in this calendar year.

Looking at the releases for 2025, I'm actually surprised at how few I purchased this year. I know I got a few of last year's figures on clearance, but as far as new purchases of figures from waves this year I only count six or seven. That just doesn't seem right, but I did skip quite a few due to a lack of funds.

Of the figures actually released in 2025, I have to go with ROM. He's literally the toy I wanted as a kid, and he looks amazing. I'm really hoping he leads to things like the Marvel versions of the Micronauts.

To clarify, there really aren't any rules to this thread other than to list your favorite figures of 2025. That simply means figures you OBTAINED in 2025. Quite a few of us play the long game with ML these days so please, no one feel restrained or pressured to figure out exactly when a given figure hit the open market; just whenever it was procured to YOUR collection and brought a modicum of joy to your otherwise insufferable existence.

I don't appreciate this kind of lawlessness

My problem is more ADHD brain. If it didn't happen within the last 5-7 days, it might have happened 2 months ago or 2 years ago. I genuinely have no idea when I acquired probably half the stuff in my collection. Haha.

But I'm sticking with Ghost Rider. That's a real banger.

Love that they finally made a Ketch figure. Don't love that he's on the small side. Love the bike though, really well executed with the flames and wheelie stand.

I have quite a few runner ups to the best figure of 2025 but there’s definitely an inordinate amount of Wolverine figure on that list this year. We’ve got the Gamerverse edition, the two Mondo releases from this year and the X-Men 97 civilian Wolverine. Everything else is either a Godzilla figure or statue, some dinosaur figures I picked up this year, the Mortal Kombat Sub Zero and Scorpion figures from Todd McFarlane, Marvel Legends Kaine and the Gong Studios Hush Batman

There was also retro card Weapon X, unified black and yellow costume from Nemesis wave, and WWII Logan. Two DP&W versions too.

Yeah, @Stoopid_Sandwich all I understood there was Wolverine. I have no idea what any of that other stuff is. hahaha
Despite his borderline too-vibrant flesh tone and pronounced center claw, I gotta admit I REALLY enjoy that '97 casual Logan.

YOU'RE a real banger!
You fuckin' know it.

The size of the figure is disappointing, for sure. I console myself with the fact that I'll probably never end up posing him standing upright next to another character, so it shouldn't ever be noticeable on the display.

I’m aware but I didn’t put those on my list. It was just the four I mentioned. Also I don’t even purchase the WW2 Logan or the retro carded Weapon X

Shuma Gorath is fun and was reasonably priced given the size, and is a needed addition to the Dr Strange shelf, so that is probably the top for me this year.

FF She Hulk, Rachel, Banshee, Feral, Black Widow (Grey) - characters I wanted the most so high on the list.

The FF movie figures look great - probably should get them.

Could have made the top 10 - X-Factor Jean Grey was disappointing due to the missing boots. Sunspot I need in the non-animated look and matching other New Mutants. Mandarin in the suit is not the Mandarin I am looking for.

I love me a good list, and so here is my Top 10 Legends of 2025. My only rule was it had to be released in 2025.

01 - Maximum Spider-Man - Yeah, Yeah I know; He's expensive. The unmasked head sucks. A bunch of the web accessories are kind of meh. But you know what? I do NOT care. I LOVE this toy. The figure MOVES so much like Spider-Man, more than any other I have ever owned. It's fantastic. I replaced the unmasked head. I play with the web accessories. I paid for THREE of him. So I don't care. THIS is my Spider-Man figure.

02 - Extremis Iron Man (2 pack) - Unexpected. That's the word that describes this for me. I had the previous Extremis, And it was cool. How different could it be? Well turns out just changing the torso to add articulation and add a bit of bulk, making the colors brighter and giving us an unmasked head is enough to take this from a vague re-release to my new default Iron Man on the shelf. VERY cool toy. Also the bonus Mandarin parts were cool, though I had to find a body for them
😛

03 - Astonishing X-Men Beast - Another one I was looking forward to, but liked MUCH more in hand. The face is SO expressive. The eyes are just so well done. And on a body with the improved style and articulation, this has now become my favorite Beast figure.

04 - Spider-Man 2099 - VERY late addition to the game but FINALLY they nailed 2099. Using the Renew Your Vows Spidey body was perfect. The blue is spot on. He just LOOKS and FEELS like Spide 2099. If it had had an unmasked head it would have probably got into the Top 3.

05 - Gamerverse PS5 Venom - Due to my buying of toys like this list, I haven't got a PS5 so I haven't been able to play Spider-Man 2. But that doesn't mean i cant enjoy the toys! And Boy Howdy was this Venom awesome. To have the same articulation as a regular Legend but on a HUGE body is just so fun and cool. Great for photos and just generally fighting Spider-Man, this is a great toy to squeeze onto your shelf.

06 - Ultimate Miles Morales - This one grew on me. While the body moves really well, and the costume is overall is good, the small eyes on the mask and the TINY size throw me off a little. I mean he is smaller than Spider-Boy, and yet is supposed to be 6-7 years older. Still a cool toy, still my default Miles... but not perfect. Not yet.

07 - Dragon-Man - The first of Hasbros HasLab replacement for Legends came out the gate swinging. Impressive size, great features and nice subtle work in paint around the eyes, Dragon Man is a great addition to the shelf.

08 - Maximum Deadpool - Yeah Yeah, it's Deadpool. If you know me you know I'm not a fan. But a good toy 9is a good toy, and this is really the figure that shows what Maximum CAN be. All new Sculpt top to bottom, with sculpted details all over. An excessive amount of hands and weapons, a Doop pack in... its all there. Again, an unmasked song would have put him higher, but it's still an excellent figure.

09 - Battle Damaged Spider-Man - This was one I was looking forward to, but makes it onto the list for one reason; The SCULPTED all the battle damage. Its not just a paint job, they actually did some work, and it shows. Its also still a good Spider-Man figure, with a good size and great movement. A pleasant surprise!

10 - Electro II - And one I didn't expect to be here at ALL when she was announced was the Second Electro, Francine. But they added just enough new bits, gave us JUST enough personality and effects parts that I found myself enjoying messing with this toy a lot.

Honorable mentions
- Gamerverse Black Cat - mainly for the PHENOMENAL Headsculpt and paint.
- Gamerverse Captain America - ALmost made the Top 10, and an excellent figure.
- Gamerverse Kingpin - Great toy, with an imposing size and great headsculpts
- MTG Man-Wolf - another late addition, and possibly the coolest werewolf figure I own.

I must say, after inserting the tentacles in the 12/4/8, 2/6/10 configuration, this Shuma Gorath is pretty stinkin' fun and definitely in the running for my favorite ML figure of 2025. But my late-order Sentinel just arrived this afternoon so... more fun to come.

And yeah, ...I'm all done calling it Gargantos. This is pure Interdimensional Shuma Gorath goodness.

…whenever it was procured to YOUR collection and brought a modicum of joy to your otherwise insufferable existence.
😂 An instant classic…

…and perhaps unintentionally (or perhaps not), a really good barometer.

Most of my Marvel Legends purchases this year simply checked a box, but there is one that brought me a modicum of joy.

Husk.

I love Paige, she was in my Top Ten most wanted, it’s her first time in the line, and unlike so many characters that fit those criteria, Hasbro put genuine effort into her. In terms of what I wanted in a Marvel Legends Husk figure, she’s pretty damn close to perfect.

It’s me and Reno against the world!
