And the winner of the 2025 Best Figure of the Year Award goes to...

4. Fantastic Four wave (MCU) I never saw this at retail with the exception of flame off Johnny. That is a huge disappointment for this big Fantastic Four fan. I was really hoping that Hasbro would go all out for the FF debut in the MCU. Instead we got the least amount of exposure Hasbro could possibly give them. Super sad they had so little faith in the property and the collecting community to support the FF in the line.

Well, truthfully, I think it's the retailers to blame for the dearth of Fantastic Four in stores. I'd guess their orders were low. It seems that they're losing confidence in the MCU figures.

It'll be interesting to see how well Brand New Day and Doomsday figures do. I mean, it's Spider-Man and the Avengers. Those have GOT to sell, right?

We should try and tabulate these, it would be fun to see what the overall top ten for the year is. Anyway, there's a few figures I'm sure I'll love that I don't have yet (Iron Spider-MJ, Inhumans), but here's mine at present:

1) Dragon Man: holy SHIT. I love monsters; they're what got me into Marvel and what got me into collecting figures. Man oh man, does this figure satisfy all of that. I've got him on display with the Kirby FF and his first appearance, and it is the coolest shelf I have.

2) Warbird: My single most wanted figure for years, and sure she misses the mark for 70s Carol Danvers ... but whatever. I honestly took for granted that they'd never get to her (training uniform Kitty Pryde has replaced her as my "I want this too much for them to make it" figure). She was the only one I brought with me when I temporarily moved cross-country for work this summer.

3) Rachel Grey: long time coming, executed perfectly. My only real complaint is that she makes Shadowcat look bad.

4) ROM: I don't have much attachment to ROM (almost literally the only comic from the late 70s, early 80s I never read), but hot damn did he turn out great -- I've also seldom seen the community so universally, glowingly excited about a figure/ character.

5) Banshee: ties my shelf together like the Dude's rug.

I still have Rachel and Feral in my POL but I don't think they will top my #1.

Psylocke for sure. They knocked it out of the park with the head sculpts, the buck, and the articulation.

ROM, D+ Daredevil, and Astonishing Beast were other standouts.

I bought most Marvel Legends released this year. It’s been an amazing year!

Top ten (20) Marvel Legends of 2025:
Extremis Armor Iron Man—2 pack
War Machine—Gamerverse
Ultimate Iron Man
Rom
Captain America—Gamerverse
Shuma Gorath/ Gigantos
Mysterium Iron Man
Skurge the Executioner
Madame Masque
Psylocke—Gamerverse
Gladiator
Black Bolt
Spider-Man—Maximum
Hulk—Maximum
Dragon Man
Nemesis/Genoicide BAF
Venom—Gamerverse
Mandarin—Extremis 2 pack
Wolverine—Gamerverse
Deadpool—Maximum

But number 1 is definitely updated Extremis Iron Man!

There are a lot of great figures that I’m sad not to list. It’s been a wonderful year for figures! (Otherwise a terrible year in real life. Let’s get 2025 over!).

  1. ROM: takes the top slot because I know basically nothing about he character, but what a good looking and moving figure
  2. Deathbird: great rendition of that costume. Love the portrait
  3. Rachel Pheonix: straight up the only thing she's missing is a second fist.
  4. Gamerverse Cap: Super solid version of Cap, near perfect
  5. Crossbones: surprisingly good, love the details
  6. Adam Warlock: been waiting on him, glad he's here
  7. Savage Land Prof X: another one I'd been waiting on.
  8. Outback Storm: glad she got some updated parts.
  9. Mystique: just a solid Raven

Top 5. No particular order

- Shuma Gorath
- FF She Hulk
- Dragon Man
- Grey Widow
- 97 Marvel Girl

Honorable Mention: Rom, Rachel, Mystique

Legendsverse seems to say I cant include any Inhumans or Executioner.

I hope Dan and Dwight aren't on this board seeing Gamerverse Wolverine missing from most lists and get the wrong impression not to bother improving articulation schemes. Yeah yeah yeah I get it, he's too big and it's the millionth Wolverine, but still ...

This was indeed a great year for Marvel Legends, with a lot of good X-Men representation, specially for those like me who love the female action figures!

My top ten would be:

1. Psylocke: even though I wish the face looked more like the in game model, I think they put a lot of love in the making of this figure: sculpted details, accessories, articulation, paint…An A list Betsy figure! Live posing her! Now give us British body!
2. Medusa: I also love this character and I am thrilled they finally gave us a stunning figure from the Queen of the INHUMANS.
3. Deathbird: another long waited character delivered with great sculpt and overall execution. She looks fierce in the shelf. I need Hepzibah!
4. Rachel: simple, yet perfect! Exactly the version we all wanted and needed from the character. Beautiful face sculpts.
5. Marrow: I really wanted a more monstrous version of her but I came to love this figure. The posebility is amazing and I appreciate that she fits in the Gamerverse line.
6. Banshee: yes, a repaint, but we all wanted this version of him and he came out perfect. The face sculpts on him are amazing!
7. Cable 97: a perfect rendition of his cartoon look. This figure is so full of details and care put into it that it just pops on the shelf.
8. Gargantos: what a fun figure! I never would have thought they would come out with a figure like this! I love the added value he brings to the collection.
9. Wolverine Gamerverse: this figure just looks so badass! I love the many poses he can get into, the exaggerated claws, mask and boots make him look very dynamic. Could have come with an extra head and yes, I wish he was a tad shorter.
10. Feral: I always loved the design of this character and was eagerly waiting for her. She came out great and I love she was single packed. Wish she had more sculpted fur though.

1. ROM
2. Man Wolf
3. Maximum Spider-Man
4. Dragon Man
5. Executioner
6. Deathbird
7. Ultimate Iron Man
8. Shanna
9. Medusa
10. Captain America

I don't have the mini comic wave 2 yet. If I did, I think Astonishing Beast and maybe Rachel would take up slots.
