General Marvel Legends

I keep Marvel Select Abomination in my display. I don't need him in a crazy pose and I love how huge that figure is. Same with Juggernaut.

Okay, can one of youse do me a favor? Can you post a pic from the comics showing me what a classic Abomination should look like?

Because if you look at this page right here his look seems to change a lot depending on the artist and era. In other words, the Sal Buscema Abomination is somewhat different than the Herb Trimpe version which in turn is slightly different than the Gil Kane version.

What exactly are you hoping for? Because I'm okay with the Build A Figure.

Don't shoot me. I'm only the piano player.
The post below you is pretty close. No shoulder or back spikey things.

OH, The toybiz figure with todays sculpting and articulation. And give him FISTS!

EDIT: And I wouldn't be upset if he was colored more vintage.

Since Dan asked if we wanted more cowboys (which hopefully means something is already in the works), we know Hammond Torch is coming somehow, and I'm always complaining that Marvel doesn't honor its Timely roots, can you imagine a wave featuring classic characters that all "pre-date" the silver age (using pre-date loosely to include characters retroactively fit into the time frame).

This wave is all over the place, but I tried to hit as many different classic characters and themes as possible:

Isaiah Bradley Cap - anchor (retroactively fit into the time frame)
Blazing Skull
Two-Gun Kid
Vision (Aarkus)
Namora
Human Robot/M-11 (every wave needs a metal man, right?)
Baron Blood (retroactively fit into the time frame)
BAF - Gorilla-Man (Ken Hale)

1940s Cap and Bucky 2-pack
Hammond Torch & Toro 2-pack
Whizzer and Miss America 2-pack

The three Fantastic Four polls all close tomorrow. Get your votes in or change your existing votes!
Next up: X-Men polls!
The polls will be coming fast and furious. The plan is to eventually do a wish list thread, then two weeks later do a poll from that wish list. However, I've gotta catch up on the wish lists I've already done, and I don't want to overlap polls.

Jim Gardley, the Masked Raider, first appeared in Marvel Comics number 1 in August 1939. He's one of the Marvel's oldest characters.

"I, Jim Gardley, hereby make a solemn vow to forever fight the lawless... Bring justice to the oppressed, and help the poor -- To this end, I, the Masked Raider, dedicate my life to this oath!"

I think @Beamish's proposed Timely wave is a great idea. I endorse it wholeheartedly.

There's 3 polls? Missed a couple then

Interesting livestream.

Astonishing Colossus and Kitty looks great, snd the set is a must have for me to complete the Astonishing team. Would have been nice to get double elbows for Colossus though.

Punisher Hulkbuster looks a lot better as a figure than I was expecting. Like I wrote before, the proportions are better on the figure than in the comic art. I want this one. I’d still like a new Punisher War Machine, which could double as the same sculpt for a new MCU War Machine Mark 1. The effects look look like a lot of fun.

Abomination looks cool. I like his more armored scale look more than the Gamerverse body, but this body is pretty nice. I’m happy to get this one. He could have used some alternate fists.

Classic Ghost Rider is a must have. This is what he looked like on the first Ghost Rider comic that I read.

Deadpool and Wolverine wave looks stellar. I’m not sure if I want to get any of them though in this economy. Maybe I’ll get Blade for old time’s sake.

Not sure about Grizzly. The draw for me would be getting an alternate look for Ursa Major.

Ghost Rider, Grizzly, and all the Deadpool’s and Wolverine figures for me. Love that deluxe with the sacred corpse weapons and Peggy/Dog-Pool. Laura is awesome. Blade is great. Casandra is creepy. I’m digging the Cowboy-Pool. Bring on more Pools! I want Ronin, Kid, Lady, Manga, etc…

Thwipp!

I know it was colored that way in the early comics, but the all red cycle for Johnny doesn't do much for me - especially the exposed motor and gears being red.
I know you've made peace with it, but I still wish (and might do it myself) that the engine was at least a darker red, like the tires. That's a pretty big chunk of plastic to be so monochromatic even if it is detailed.

Buuut, I'm so chuffed about a classic Ghost Rider coming, that i went back to BBTS and bought the Orb. Now to start browsing for a motorcycle for him.

And not for nothing, my Phantom Rider is processing soon, so that whole corner of the universe is clicking for me.

I'm really excited to get Kitty and Colossus and continue building out the Astonishing team.. Hell, Hasbro will probably call this team complete at this point.

I am a little disappointed in Kitty though. I wish the pony tail head resembled Cassaday's art more. It's also a shame that everyone else got nice unique sculpts and she gets mostly reuse. I hate the seamline upper body with the mismatched seamless abs. All she really needed outside of that was the sculpted boot seam. I'm sure she'll still look great on the shelf, but still tough not to feel slightly whelmed by her right now.

Colossus also probably is too bright a red and that shoulder probably could have been done better, as well.

It's basically a 90s Colossus wearing Astonishing Colossus' outfit in 90s colors. It speaks to me, but it's not accurate to the much smaller Colossus that was in Cassaday's run. He had a much tigher hair style and more slender jaw compared to this version.

I tend to prefer what we're getting over Cassaday art as I always found his women very plain looking with resting byatch face.

But I can sympathize in that it clearly doesn't match the source material.

Were you referring to some yet to be released members of Astonishing? I'm hard pressed to remember anyone they've left out unless you mean Danger or Ord. I don't even remember, was Xavier in the run at some point?

In those comics, Johnny was literally making the bike from hellfire...all the parts being created from his mind and made into physical form with the flames, sorta like a Green Lantern construct. I get it if you're not into it...just wanted to point out that there was an in-story reason for all of it being red.
I had not realized that. I always thought it was a weird choice. Thanks for informing me, truly. I still don't like it.
