X-Men '97

Not thrilled with any of those redesigns except Charles.

I really hope S2 doesn't just keep changing their looks every episode. Part of the reason the X-Men became the lasting juggernaut they are is because their looks remained the same for a long enough era for them to imprint on the collective consciousness.
I'd mentioned previously during S1 that I hope X97 doesn't keep "speed running" their storylines like it's an effort to get somewhere specific (perhaps modern times?). They plowed through LifeDeath, Inferno, Fatal Attractions, Operation Zero Tolerance, the "Scouring of Genosha" or whatever Morrison-based name it had, and just kept going. They're now headed into Blood of Apocalypse and The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed a lot of it, but Inferno was a single episode!

The costume changes makes me think they're doing largely the same with S2. A lot of these stories deserve to be fleshed out and to be fully realized and appreciated, not wham-bam-on-to-the-next-thing'd until there are no feasible stories left. What are we in such a hurry to get to storywise, "The Draco" or Nightcrawler's other retcon?

Not really a big fan of these looks. I expect they’re only going to be around for three or four episodes, though.

Agree with this. I really liked season 1, but at the end you're left reeling thinking about how much ground they covered and wondering what a decompressed 3-episode Inferno arc might have looked like.

I wonder if this means we'll actually get a public trailer soon? Trying to figure out how that Wolverine look coincides with what we saw out of the leaked, convention, trailer. Maybe he's not actually feral Wolverine and is instead just cos-playing as him?

They're not scarves! Some have ascots, others have serape`s. It's a shame none of them have those little Charlie Chaplin bowlers like the women in Peru. At least one of those Pharrell Williams prospector hats would be a nice touch.

Fatal Attractions alone should have been at least 3-5 episodes. The Phoenix / Dark Phoenix Saga really gave the whole experience back in the 92 series with how all encompassing it was, even if it did take some liberties to make it fit for a kids cartoon involving the Hellfire Club.

I wonder if Gambit's inevitable return will have him in something akin to his Age of Apocalypse getup, in which case we can add yet another fancy neckwear piece to the mix.

His Revolution look from the early 2000's would probably fit in the easiest since we already have an AOA Gambit figure. Personally I'd rather have the AOA figure you're describing where he had the waist coat and the bandana/scarf rather than the Larocca look with the off the shoulder poncho/shawl.

Well if this means we are going to get more X-men characters either new characters or based on TAS/97 then I better have a think about thinning my Legends collections down to make space and extra funds.

Thinking my Legends collections will go down too:
X-men/Spider-man animated based.
Moon Knight comic related as MK 2006 run got me back into comics.
Gambit figures.
