X-Men '97

Not thrilled with any of those redesigns except Charles.

I really hope S2 doesn't just keep changing their looks every episode. Part of the reason the X-Men became the lasting juggernaut they are is because their looks remained the same for a long enough era for them to imprint on the collective consciousness.
I'd mentioned previously during S1 that I hope X97 doesn't keep "speed running" their storylines like it's an effort to get somewhere specific (perhaps modern times?). They plowed through LifeDeath, Inferno, Fatal Attractions, Operation Zero Tolerance, the "Scouring of Genosha" or whatever Morrison-based name it had, and just kept going. They're now headed into Blood of Apocalypse and The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed a lot of it, but Inferno was a single episode!

The costume changes makes me think they're doing largely the same with S2. A lot of these stories deserve to be fleshed out and to be fully realized and appreciated, not wham-bam-on-to-the-next-thing'd until there are no feasible stories left. What are we in such a hurry to get to storywise, "The Draco" or Nightcrawler's other retcon?

Not really a big fan of these looks. I expect they’re only going to be around for three or four episodes, though.

Phooey, nothing that can fill-in on my bronze age-focused comic shelves. I was hoping Polaris would be in her classic look, since I wouldn't mind a proper version of that costume.

Agree with this. I really liked season 1, but at the end you're left reeling thinking about how much ground they covered and wondering what a decompressed 3-episode Inferno arc might have looked like.
