So I ordered the Yolopark Metal Slug 3 Wave One model kits straight from Yolopark. I was hesitant because SNK is owned by evil murderers now, but my love for Metal Slug won out in the end. Me buying or not buying these toys is effectively meaningless to both SNK and the Saudi prince, so it's really just a matter of my own moral stance, and I feel just comfortable enough with the layers of separation between my acquisition of these toys and the evil shit that bastard does. Your mileage may vary. I still won't buy any new SNK games though, so I guess that's where my line is.

Anyways, they shipped the wave out pretty damn fast and I got it in today and I gotta say it's one of the best things I've ever spent 100 bucks on! Four super-articulated figures with numerous accessories and alternate parts, the ostrich, a Metal Slug tank, an accessory pack with electronic sound (batteries not included) and bases with backdrops, all for 78.99 plus shipping from China to California, which was only about 24 bucks. A fantastic deal. I was pleasantly surprised to find a couple of bonus goodies in the box as well, a metal coin of Fat Marco, and a really nice playmat, neither of which were mentioned or pictured in the listing.

As a huge Metal Slug fan, I am over the moon and absolutely can not wait for Wave Two! I wholeheartedly recommend these toys, depending on how hardline your stance against SNK is. I like to think of it more as supporting Yolopark than anything, and as these are my first toys from them, I couldn't be happier and am looking forward to trying out more of their stuff.

I get your stance. My nostalgia for the KoF and Slug figures available to us won out.

I dig this set. Kinda want the tank and ostrich just for props with the Tunshi. I know they won't scale, but it's charming.

Yeah the Tunshi stuff is too rich for my blood, but if I had unlimited toy funds or didn't collect any other lines, I'd have everything they make. Very happy that Yolopark made these affordable, and they are hella fun. The smaller scale really helps me feel like I can get a bunch and not worry too much about where to display them.

The Tunshi SV-Camel makes me impatient for the AMK Mini one that Yolopark showed off at a con last year. But what I'm really impatient for is some Mars People!

Yeah, they're pricey, which is why I'm not a completionist. And even then, my big criticism is the shorts tailoring renders a lot of the leg movement non-existent. But they look arcade perfect in front of my keyboard and take me back to the WMU student centre arcade and happier years, so I forgive that.

I'm looking forward to how Yolo builds this out.
