X-Men '97

I only ordered the Cyclops/Marvel Girl set to swap the head on Jean and put her in my Classic X-Men display, so I have 0 complaints about the figure as it's a huge improvement from the Tri-Sentinel wave version, which was complete ass other than the head.

My eyes ain't what they used to be, but I'm looking at 2pk Wolvie in sunlight and not seeing these glaringly different shades of brown. It all looks pretty close to me.
I'm not sure how bad it is on other Wolvie figures, but on mine it is primarily the paint used for the continuation of his shorts at the top of his legs. It is a few shades too dark and doesn't match the other browns. Again, not a deal breaker by any measure, but it is quite noticeable.
Sounds like you got one with matching browns. You lucky duck.

I'm looking at the copy @joshsquash729 sent me. Maybe he can verify the colors match or don't (which might be why he sold it to me)

Alas, I can't really be of help here. He wasn't really in my possession long enough to really notice. From what I remember, he looked fine to me, but that might've just been the lighting in my place. Just looking at the promo pic on Pulse, I guess I can kinda see what people mean? The yellow on the mask seems to be maybe a smidge brighter than the rest of him, and the brown on his trunks looks maybe a tad darker, but that could, again, just be the lighting. Though, to be fair, things like that don't really bother me, unless it's super noticeable like Sunspot's yellow vs. the rest of the team. I offloaded him because I have no real attachment to the yellow/brown like I do the yellow/blue.

I wonder if it's a paint layering issue? I'm looking at the one I have and he's pretty consistent. I'm really sensitive to this stuff and he's passing my test. Storm doesn't though.

That might honestly be it. I think my Storm looks pretty darn good; the only real area I've noticed is the yellow on the cape is a bit thin in some places, and you can see the base black color underneath. So it could just be a matter of some figures getting more/less paint than others. All things considered, these 2 packs did seem to come out rather fast (at least it felt that way)

Or we just have another "Is this dress black/gold or blue/white?" situation on our hands.

For me on storm it just seems like I've got different shades of brown between the arms, legs and torso.

Man, I'm looking at it now and I just really love the head sculpts.

The yellow trim on my Storm capes is really sloppy, especially on the calm cape. Lots of bleed onto the black. Fortunately I have extras from the T-Bird 2pk that can swap in. Of the four figures from these two 2pks, hers is the lowest QC. But that may be my only issue.

The headsculpts for Storm are pretty dang great, agreed. I've always had a thing for her little crown tiara thing. Am I crazy, or can you barely make out an iris/pupil in her white eyes?

I zoomed with my phone camera (enemy of QC checks everywhere) and I can see what you're seeing but I also think it's like just print lines cuz it looks like it printed in line by line like a matrix printer.

The angry head has the little white irises in the yellow, which is cool.

But I would love for a storm to finally just give us the blue eyes like she's supposed to have when she's chill.
