We are following the current developments of the Supreme Court ruling that most of the emergency tariffs affecting toys were deemed invalid. We understand that the case will now go back to the U.S. Court of International Trade, which will address the implementation of the Supreme Court’s ruling with regard to current and past imports. We also understand new tariffs are expected to be put in place within the next several days.
There will be a significant amount of information and clarifications coming out over the next several days and weeks. We will update this FAQ section as we learn more.
We are grateful to you, our valued customer, for your continued support throughout.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are prices going down?
A: We do not know yet how the tariff ruling will impact suppliers' pricing or costs. We will continue to monitor the situation to evaluate any eventual impact.
Q: Will the price of my current open pre-orders go down?
A: Our current policy already reduces open pre-order tariff surcharge amounts when tariff charges are lower than the estimated tariff surcharge. If your current open pre-order indicated a tariff surcharge was included, and the tariff amount paid by BBTS changes for that item, then your price will change by that amount at the time we charge your payment method.
Q: Are you refunding tariff surcharges?
A: It is unclear if, how and when paid tariffs will be refunded by the government. We intend to pass customer paid tariff surcharge amounts back to our customers if and when BBTS receives refunds (from the government and/or our vendors) for those tariff surcharges. The specifics regarding if government or vendor refunds will be issued, how they would be calculated, or when they might occur are still very unclear and we will communicate updates as they develop.
Q: Does this affect all products, or only certain ones?
A: Not all items were affected by tariffs. Any potential impact would depend on the specific item and where it was sourced.
