Tracking toy tariffs

Curious to see how that all plays out. If refunds are entitled, who gets those exactly (the customer, manufacturer, importer, etc). And it will be interesting to see what happens to toy prices now. Rolling them back would be a huge PR move in toy makers’ favor but that seems unlikely at this stage. When have they ever lowered prices after raising them? Best we can hope for is them undoing some cost cutting measures on limited paint and accessories.

Prices won't go down to what they were. There's too much uncertainty with the threat that tariffs will just be reinstated using some other (illegal) justification.
We (consumers) will not receive any refunds.
Importers will probably still charge in the near future as they will be as confused about what to do as they were when the tariffs were put in place without any guidance or procedures set up beforehand.
This is rule by utter incompetence and disregard of law, another transfer of wealth directly from our pockets to large corporations.

And of course at least one person in the regime has a scam running to make money off the tariffs being struck down:

My only joy out of this reporting is that Trump will still try and keep the tariffs, or reimpose them through other means which hopefully will screw Cantor-Fitzgerald. Lutnick might finally get a personal taste of how Trump is fine screwing over anyone, even his most loyal foot soldiers.

Yeah, no prices are going down. They'll say they have to make up for all the money lost, and now that they know people are willing to pay the higher prices- even if not quite as many people, they'll keep them what they are. Maybe, if we're lucky, that extra buck or two will eventually lead to better articulation or more accessories or something (or that'll be something they were planning anyway and they'll just use the cost increase as an excuse).

Or, like ya'll said, Trump will just keep them anyway or re-implement them elsewhere. Not like him being told "no" has ever stopped him. Either way, the damage has been done, and will continue to be done.
