I fell in love IMMEDIATELY.

I fell in love IMMEDIATELY.
I look at them lovingly every time I see a new one up for preorder, but haven't grabbed one yet. I keep considering their indo-raptor to replace the super articulated one from the normal JP line, but I haven't pulled the trigger on it. Dinosaur figures are one of those things where I have to be careful because it's a slippery slope and we're getting some real good ones lately (but they can be PRICEY).Is anyone taking a look at the Nanmu T-Rex's? They have a male and a female option, I think one is from Jurassic Park and the other is The Lost World. I think there was someone on Fwoosh who was all-in on the Nanmu talk, but I haven't seen them brought up much here. They look great, but I don't own any of their products.
I do have that gigantic "Super Colossal" Rex from Rebirth, but he takes up so much space. I'm wondering if a Nanmu one might be a better option. Anyone going in on them, or have their raptors?
What's funny is Guyer was one of my entry points into Anime at around the same age... only it was the "Bio Booster Armor" OVA and it was in 1992.
*wheezes*
The originals, yes, haha. I might still have my Ryo, though I guarantee his armor is long gone. These are the new ones from Sentinel. Those figures had spring joints, right?
Too small, you're thinking? I think I saw where the hips were about 5" high or so, I suppose that makes sense that it would be underscaled. More of an adolescent than an adult.I am highly impressed with the Nanmu raptor I picked up from 5k. If they were a little easier to get, I could be in trouble with these. It's just about the exact same size as the Amber Collection raptors, but the larger Nanmu dinos are actually scaled down quite a bit. That T Rex isn't going to scale with anything.
One of the reasons I like going for the indo-raptor/indominous rex, is since they're very clearly not real dinos I feel like I can ignore scale and just assume they're all lab-grown faux-dinos for my displays. more mad science than real animal.Too small, you're thinking? Seems this is Eggtoys-sp01 Blood Hunter Dhampir
An interesting one here. How many of you remember Jean St Jean's Creatureplica line? Well, looks like it might... finally.. be coming back. Problem is the field is a lot more crowded for cryptids these days, and I think those designs are showing their age. The bat creature in the back seems like it's on the original sasquatch body with what looks like the werewolf arms and legs attached. The aliens (and probably the Wendigo) are the same sculpts he showed off years and years ago.
That's how I feel as well. I've got a great looking werewolf from Loose Collector (oversized though he may be), and there are good competitors for most of the other stuff in the first wave of Creatureplica. I'm more interested in how 4H or LC continue their various monster/cryptid lines.Yeah, I've moved on. I was interested in some of the second wave he had shown off and hinted at years ago, but there are other smaller companies making the kinds of things he was looking to do. The Yeti I have cool, but limited, and the werewolf is too gangly for my liking now that I have other versions.
