I've canceled three or four pre-orders that were coming in for exactly this reason. But some of it is stuff that should've shipped months ago and got backed up by tariffs or Diamond's bankruptcy or whatever.
 
Diamonds collapse aside, it’s not exactly atypical to see a glut of product come out before the new year. Hasbro has been bum rushing products around this time of year for at least a decade now. To be honest though, I’m not expecting a ton of toys to arrive by Christmas at this point. I got some McFarlane figures arriving in the coming days but most of the stuff I’m looking forward to is showing up after the new year. The Nanmu Smart Series Tyrannosaurus rex figures, these wave 13 ultimates TMNT figures, Hiya GMK Godzilla and the SHF Scarlet spider chief among them all. Hell this also might include the X-Men 97 Sentinels I ordered because I haven’t been informed of them shipping yet.

I'd be shocked if the Sentinels make it before Christmas, at this rate. Honestly I'd be fine if they waited, no telling what could happen to them in all the package traffic. As for the Ultimates, I forgot those were still happening, I'd like to get that Splinter at least. I would be surprised if they really do keep going with TMNT at this rate. But who knows.

My sentinel's tracking says delivery before Christmas Eve. We shall see.

Yeah, like.. I didn't want them to charge me for it because that thing was very close to 300 CAD. But also I want it right now, so I guess I gotta live with it. My wife has been handling the tracking since she's home way more than I am. I hope it's almost here. I want a Sentinel for the weekend.
 
First review I've seen and it's certainly a Super7 wave. That milky, white, unpainted plastic they're using now looks like absolute shit. Why can't they even paint Casey's mask? Definitely a wait for clearance wave, at best.

 
I learned from the last wave that there's a decent chance these'll go on sale on Amazon within the next year, so that's how I'll pic up this wave if I do at all.
 
Making worse figures, with less deco, charging the same/more money. They're just going to keep going like this until the customers stop them. Brian found the gravy train -- just make what other people aren't making for nostalgia brands and the nerds will buy it no matter how overpriced and shitty it is.

Jesus, the amount of that crappy rubber being used on the figures is terrifying. Shredder's shoulderpads, especially! What the hell. I wanted Splinter, what a pain in the ass.
 
That rubber looks like something you'd find in a hardware store on a rubber gasket or bladder. That’s probably why Super7 is using it - it's soft and cheap.
 
The main thing that makes me sad is that I LOVE the bonus head for Casey and would use it as my main head in a display-- but there is no way I'm preordering a full set of those figures just for it.
