I totally forgot about Skywarp and missed him on Pulse, so I went with Amazon.
 
I stopped in Target this morning and asked one of the girls if they could pull Hot Rod from the stockroom. I could use a Hound too, maybe I'll go through more official means and place a pick up order or wait to see him on the shelf.
 
I placed online orders for store pick up this morning around 3:30am. I won’t be able to pick up til Monday, if they’re able to fulfill at all because of Bergen County Blue Laws.

I suppose you can, but this adds a little extra bling 😀. The matrix in the chest was unofficial? I mean, so is attaching it to the other accessories, but I was looking to see if the new instructions show it in the chest. I don't think it was in the old instructions either?
 
I picked up Hound and OSS Optimus. Hound is fine, though his shoulders won’t peg into his chest. Much worse is the metal shard accessory that supposedly stabs Optimus in the grill. The peg is comically short, and won’t hold in his wound for any amount of time. I’m considering grinding some plastic off with a dremel, but I don’t want to ruin the sculpt or the existing peg. Otherwise, the figure is nice. I haven’t converted to truck mode, but I appreciate the unique battle damage parts. Wish there was more that was sculpted and not just cracks that are printed on.
 
Was able to place an order for pick up for Hot Rod. The price was 42.99. My preorder which should arrive Friday was 34.99! Gonna return the pick up once the PO arrives.

Yeah, I noticed they bumped the price up on him from what it originally was. Clever jerks.

When he was back in stock, my preorder (at the lower price) went from "backordered" to "shipped", so I was lucky enough this time to get it at the lower price.
 
Opened up HotPink Rod and the upgrade that makes the whole reissue worth it is the changing of that yellow plastic hinge on the roof to a magenta that matches the rest of the roof. That was the one thing that drove me nuts about one of the best Transformers in history. Now, dare I say, he’s perfect.
 
Prowl is getting a Target release? This is my third time actively collecting Hasbro Transformers since the start of Classics, but this time I'm trying to stick mostly to those I had in G1. I can use a Prowl and thought my GameStop had one. They did, but as most of you already know, it was actually Siege Prowl. I was so disappointed.
