Studio Series

Hot Rod sold out fast too - seems they're counting on exclusives to drive folks in store. Which admittedly is the reason they exist. I'm hoping to snag Hound. If the rumor that Starscream will be a Target exclusive is true he'll sell out before he goes up for sale.
 
Dude that Hound figure looks cool af. I missed him and Hot Rod. I hope i can find them in store then. Selling these things faster then they can make them.

Hound is back up for PO on Target's website, but at the inflated 27.99 rather than the 19.99 sale from last week.
 
Thanks! 2 boxes of cereal and I got free shipping. I recognize that $27.99 is the default price. A pre-order during a sale is kind of crazy.

It happens more often than you'd expect. I've POed stuff while on sale, and then when I see it in store, I wonder why I have it POed, then realize, I better keep this PO, it's a better price!
 
Soundwave and Thundercracker arrived today from Amazon.

Oh yeah. I got Soundwave yesterday from BBTS. He's a nice bot. Ravage kinda sucks, and I wish we had gotten a different tape other than Buzzsaw. Kinda sucks getting two of the same mold when there are plenty of others he could have included. I need to track down the two that came with the updated Perceptor now.
 
I was messing with Thundercracker this weekend. I like the mold, but I like the Earthrise conversion better. I don't necessarily welcome this new sleek anime aesthetic. Not every Studio Series figure is like that. So far, mostly just T-Cracker and Soundwave. They really stick out among the rest of Studio Series 86. Clearly this is the new direction they have for the line, but I'm not gonna go crazy re-buying EVERY character.
 
My current Transformers collection is very small and Megatron was delivered the day after I found Thundercracker, so it was a little jarring having those two so close together, and going back and forth playing around with them. I still have Coraonation Starscream from a Walmart clearance, but I was thinking about rebuying Thundercracker and Skywarp. Maybe Dramatic Capture versions since BBTS has them on preorder. I want to keep the collection tight, but I wouldn't mind reaquiring Reflector and the Insecticons

I noticed my Walmart had two Thundercrackers last night and the shelf tag was bumped up to the $44 price. I got him just in time to take advantage of the old price.
 
POed One Shall Stand Optimus and One Shall Fall Megatron at Target. Already sold out of Optimus at Pulse when I checked at 9:15.

Thanks for posting. I didn’t see hear about these. I’m still waiting for BBTS for the first Studio Series Megatron.

Walmart just canceled a Soundwave I forgot I had preordered there because it was $55.
