I suppose that comic line with the special packaging is dead. It's been a while. But I was hoping they would actually recreate that original Dark Empire line from the green card days.
 
Dark Empire for sure. And literally any character who was high profile enough to get a mini in the old Star Wars Miniatures game, which to this day is my favorite stupidly simple wargame ever.
 
My Dash Rendar figure has shipped from Pulse. I'm really excited to get this figure and put him with Prince Xizor and the other SotE figures. Also, I got a shipping soon e-mail from Pulse about EP III Kenobi. So, if he is coming soon, hopefully Anakin is also.
 
I got an email from BBTS for Clone armor Kenobi. But not the RotS one. Everything, all at once, is overwhelming. I already had to cancel a couple things I could live without. But seriously. Like, 1 month. Can the rest of this shit wait till November?

I got an e-mail from Pulse saying Darth Malgus has shipped. I already have this figure, but I always try to get doubles of any lightsaber characters. I don't know why, but that's what I do. I guess just because they are the most important, fun part of the toys for me, and to have extra sabers and sometimes cloaks.

I wonder what we'll see at NYCC. I feel like maybe we'll finally see the blind Kanan figure that has been rumored so long, and maybe whatever this Boba Fett is that has been rumored. I don't know if it will be a Book of Boba Fett or Original Trilogy Fett, but either way, you can never have too much Fett.
 
Walmart had the whole Anakin/Obi wave last night. I picked up a Sandtrooper...because I could. Was tempted by The Stranger in person...but he's coming in my latest BBTS shipment.

Only because they've gotta get to the BOBF version eventually, but the pre-pro I'm not so sure.
 
Received Obiwan yesterday. He's better in most ways than the kitbash I did using the Walgreens Clone Commander head and the previous RotS body. Same improvements that Anakin got, softer shirt to get the two arm pose down. I do wish he came with those force-wielding hands. The hair is very flat looking compared to the paint job from that WG exclusive. But that's really the only edge the previous figure had.
 
I found the wave with Anakin and Qimir at wal mart. I have Qimir in my PoL, waiting for Dash Rendar to ship, but Anakin I ordered off pulse cause BBTS was sold out when I preordered the rest. So I can cancel my Pulse order and I got him at Wal Mart. Obi Wan was gone. The rest were there. Very odd. He's a good figure. The knees look fine but are as limited as most of the other single knees. His overlay and such feel nice cause of the better posing. I don't need Anakin kicking his own ass anyway. I'm not sold on these wrists though. They need to be really good plastic or this shit won't last. And with Hasbros breakage issues I'm gonna have to be careful with him. Otherwise, hes pretty good. A decent upgrade over the original. His neck is also too long. I'll have to fix that. But I see Hayden in the likeness. Its soft but its there. Glad RotS is getting some new love. Oh and the lightsaber blade is also...different. I don't hate it, but I doubt it'll change the breakage issue.

I got Dash Rendar today from Pulse. Great looking figure, and it's always so fun anytime we get a character that had any kind of figure during the POTF II Hasbro era. I love getting these Shadows of the Empire figures. Hopefully they do the Chewbacca in bounty hunter disguise.
