Star Wars Black Series

It could be a chatacter specified peg. I have so many lightsabers, and even the ones that are the same hilt come with different style blade pegs for some reason. Example, I have a ton of Anakin and Luke figures. They should share the same lightsabers. But, between the old ones and the new ones, different molds, different blade types, alot of them have different blade pegs for the same hilt, or same hilt design. And if you take say Luninaras blade, and then Kit Fistos, they have different pegs from each other as well. If you look at asajj, her blade pegs are actually square. So they kind of design the pegs different depending on the lightsaber. And then you add the fact that every wave or even sometimes production run has different plastics sometimes. Most pegs and hilts you can still kinda just force (pun?) the other pegs in, but some would be too tight, some too loose, and you'd end up stretching out the hilt hole, or need to dab a bit of glue either in the hilt or on the blade peg to make it a smidge tighter. So, could be this specific figure, or it could be the production run, or the plastic is fucked, or even just, like you think, a dud in terms of qc. You know what would fix all this? Blades affixed to the hilt with a seperate hilt to fit on the belt, like they do in VC. Less blade breaks, probably little to no drooping, they could use harder plastic, and they could be ass holes and add $1 for the extra hilt. And for the swoosh effects, just make them as one solid piece with a hilt too. How much would it really add cost wise for just that tiny bit of more plastic and paint?

And just as a personal preference, my fave saber peg design is actually Kit Fistos. Its thick and has these detents in it to help stabilize the blade. I think Aaylas has them too. I have never had any of those break. Can't say the same about any other blade peg styles. I think Asajjs are also that way, but square.

Got the Bespin Duel set from EE yesterday. Hot damn, is it nice (especially once you cut that stupid tag off Vader; shhh, don't tell the cops). Vader's cape is a bit comically large, but to be fair, I haven't really done much fiddling with it to get it to look all windswept. Luke is just a fantastic upgrade- better in almost every way from the older Bespin Luke. And their sabers feel much better than the typical ones; I like that they just made the base by the peg rounded all the way around, versus having a clear notch on one side that you had to line up. I think, ironically, it makes it fit better and more snug. I hope those notches are a thing of the past; I'd still prefer separate saber-less and saber'd hilts, but until then, this will suffice.

Tempted to pick up one of those upgrade kits I've seen on Etsy, at least one that allows me to affix it to the wall. I love me a good diorama, but I've just got no room for it on the shelf itself.

Nervous for Plo this week, but after that (assuming I even have any luck, being a Pulse-less peasant), I'm eager to have at least a little break from Black Series. I know M&G hit not too soon after, but a little breathing room is welcome.

When is Plo going up for order? He's one i may set an alarm for and hope to actually get one.
