i just think a school setting for star trek should be a lay up of an idea.

the villain is the messiness of the students lives

completely at odds with the poster for it.

I confess, I don't know what I think this show is about anymore.

Like, I know what I thought an Academy show would be like, but I don't hate the idea of a training cruise to free it from the restraints of an Earth campus. But are the crew also main characters?

I'd assumed a season would correspond to an academic year, but at only 10 episodes, is it just a part of the year or will it jump weeks?

But maybe my biggest head scratcher is not why does Holly Hunter put on glasses to read the display, but why does she give them to the alien lady when she's done? Is that the only console she needs glasses for?
