Star Trek

Bound to be unpopular, but I'd much prefer a Lower Decks cast in a realistic style to better match the rest of my hypothetical collection.
Master replicas seems to be testing this... I like the looks,... but not sure $28 is a buy for a 4.5" figure.
I would think it they want to go for the newer Paramount+ shows, then they would start with the Picard show - if that doesn't sell with a mix of new characters and legacy characters then I doubt the others might.
I agree that those will hit a chord... but man I love SNW! Mounts Pike is perfect to me. the look and feel of that show is retro while modern at the same time.

I'd like to note that Preston has a really cool accessory that helps you overlook any issues with the face sculpt and paint!

it really is neat accessory... thinking about glueing it in place :p:LOL::ROFLMAO:

Can someone please show us how the Starfleet uniformed figures look sitting, possibly in the old AA/DST chairs?

Just a little manspreading.

Of anyone to do it, Jellico would be the biggest culprit, I suspect.
or Riker???

This was an issue even when AA did the ENT bridge. None of those figures could sit properly due in large to rubber bodies.

The AA TOS and DST figures though do a decent job and at least can sit upright, so in that regard, this is a step backward.

Thanks for the photo, GothNeo!

What a shame that doesn't look good. I don't need my regular Trek characters to do the splits - I want them to stand straight and sit straight and be able to cross their legs (a thigh cut would work). I hope when they get to Deanna they just give her a swappable lower body so she can do her everyday Bridge pose.

I think they are all this way. Sorry to say the "rouge" app on Garrett makes her look like cheap working girl.

Well, that is unfortunate. 🙁. I wonder if there is a way to take some of it off without removing the rest of the paint? Customizes, and ideas?

To get new collectors I think they need to do new shows... I'd love Strange New Worlds or even lower decks animated style figures... but they gotta figure out how to get the head sculpts right or I'm not a buyer. Same for upcoming wave 3, the entire bridge crew of TOS is a no brainer... but not if the head sculpts are worse than AA and AA put out some really good figures for its time! I could see myself begrudgingly only getting two figures in that wave. If by some miracle they get to wave 4 and stilll haven't figured out the head sculpts I think I'll be done.

Actually going back to new shows, maybe Nacelle really should refocus on something like Lower Decks... animated characters may be easier for them to render.

Unfortunately, Nacelle’s license only covers TOS to Nemesis. Master Replicas is doing nuTrek, but they are Playmates scale. Their Lower Decks figures look pretty good. The live action characters were looking rough, but they have made improvements. They just solicited Wave 4 this week, Pike and Tendi, both look pretty good. The problem is, like Nacelle, too many delays and MR hasn’t actually released anything yet. After ordering the first three waves of 2 each (with 3x shipping costs), I’m not inclined to order Wave 4 until I have something in hand. The first 3 waves also went up on BBTS after and I’d prefer to order from them (no upfront payment, less shipping).
