Skurge the Executioner BAF Wave

The shading on the skirt part of his tunic - I know this has a name, tabbard? - starts halfway down. The bottom half looks great - I wonder why they wouldn't spring to do that effect the whole way? The answer is money, I know

I don’t mind that - if it’s simulating dirt and grime accumulating in the crevices of the armour, it’d naturally gravitate towards the lower areas. It’s a nice, subtle effect in any case.

Whole figure looks great - I’ll need to give his chest emblem a repaint, but that’s a 5 minute fix.

I'm tempted to do the same. You know he'll get a repaint a couple years down the road so they can double-dip on the mold. Give him an extra head to entice more purchases.
 
I’m past doing full repaints for that reason, but a quick dab of paint is an acceptable tweak.

Yeah aside from the emblem needing to be brighter he looks fantastic. I'm curious what kind of double axe-holding poses he can pull off.

Probably. And it's this very likely re-release that keeps making me think I should probably cancel a lot of the figures in this Wave. Because I really only want two. But I have the entire Wave pre ordered just for the BAF of Executioner. I don't know what I'll do, but I keep thinking I should just cancel 4 of the 6 because I truly believe we'll see this BAF as a deluxe offering or in a 2 Pack in 2 or 3 years.

If it helps you at all, I just did that today. I want Enchantress, but a closer look at the others, I just don't care between space and pricing.
 
I get it. But on the other hand, I don't. Some of you want to wait an extra 2-3 *years* for a re-release? Instead of just buying the wave and selling off the figures you don't want?

I can barely stand to wait 2-3 weeks when I know there's a hole on my shelf I can finally fill.
 
I totally get that Schizm. But that's why it's easier for me with this Wave. None of them, not even Executioner, feel like a hole on the shelf to me. I like Executioner. I'd like to have him. But I don't HAVE to have him. Especially if I have to spend over $170 just to get him, when I only like or want 1 or 2 of the characters from the Wave.

My main collecting in Marvel Legends is X-Men and anything "X" related. So, I get that feeling of holes in my shelf there. Because I LOVE the X-Men. And when I started collecting, my initial goal was to only buy X-Men related figures.

That went to Hell quick.

I would buy non-X-Men villains here and there, or street level heroes and villains there, an Avenger or 20, the Fantastic 4, all to go with my X-Men figures. And before you know it, I don't just have X-Men, but like 70% of the whole Marvel Legends comic collection.

But at this point, I have everyone I could really ever hope to have. I still have my wish lists for new characters, but I would be fine if the line ended today. But as long as Marvel Legends keeps going, I'll keep buying. But given all the characters I have, all the obscure ones Hasbro makes, and how prices have gone up, it's just easier for me to be more selective and patient.

Especially since I collect other lines that mean way more to me. I love Marvel, but something like say, Masters of the Universe means WAY more to me.
