Selling Toys - Horror Stories & "Happy" Customers

Instead of going to FedEx, or Kinkos, or the PO to print the label, you can get one of these thermal printers and save time & money.

If you have the Pirate Ship app on your phone, you should be able to print to that right from the app.

Came across this in another context and thought id post it here given recent talk of USPS and shipping.

I hate when buyers open return requests without messaging me first. To me it shows an aggressive disrespect and makes me want to fight them automatically.

Got one that said "the figures are scratched" and took flash photos of the two Black Series boxes. The figures are the ones pictured and the scratches on the windows are visible - but also, pretty normal for non-mint items.

And now I have to communicate this, wait for a response, fight that response, then Ebay will eventually step in, rule with the buyer and I have to contact Ebay again and get them to rule in my favor - it's infuriating. And once a return request is open, my options are "give them all your money and let them keep the item" or "partial refund". No "reject."

I responded by asking "what's the extreme highest you'll pay?"

I just had a dude inquire about some of my GI Joe.

I thought I priced them fairly. There are some early bangers like Zartan and the original Storm Shadow. They're open but complete.

Dude comes back and is like, normally I pay $8 each because these are just for customizing.

I asked him if he was a married coworker in a toxic relationship who has feelings for me. He was understandably confused.

I told him, then I don't see why I should make that my problem.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm selling a lot of figures for 125 bucks.

Got an offer for 75.

I countered with 90.

They countered with 100.

Uh...deal? Confusion is the name of the eBay and Facebook Marketplace game today.

I had a guy go back and forth with me over the price of a board game that I was trying to buy once. Got down to the point where he was rejecting my offer because he wanted 50 cents more. I let him keep it. Months later I was still getting offer notices of him trying to sell that thing whereas I just found it at a game store for $15 less.

Some people try to rule Ebay with an iron fist that ultimately they end up inserting in themselves.
