S.H.Figuarts General Anime (Dragon Ball, Naruto, MHA, etc.)

Asuka arrived yesterday. Feels good getting both EVA drops in a month.

Would love to know if they have more coming.

Something I didn't notice was that while these were the Rebuild designs (reboot), the packaging and their marketing never mentioned that. Also, I think it's the only figuarts I have where the character names are in the kanji with no English.

Got the 3.0 SS Goku the other day. Nice update, definitely appreciate the bulkier sculpt. The updated articulation is nice as well, I wasn't sure about the knees at first but I really like them now. The shoulders are pretty neat too.

Biggest complaint is the way the faceplates slot in. They're softer plastic and they don't fit tightly without a bit of a struggle, and the hair is so pointy that it's difficult without stabbing yourself. I got it to work but it's a little tricky.

I will, unfortunately, be buying multiple Gokus on this body.

Really wish the new Vegeta looked this good, but they're doing that weird thing with the thigh articulation again...

My EB has had the Figuarts Guys Schierke behind the counter for months, and she was knocked down to $40 Canuck from $100. Had to free her for the price of a Legend.

Love a witch with a hat.

I finally got around to shipping 3.0 Goku. He's...fine. A little disappointing in the sense that this is the new base body for another dozen Goku figures. I like the shoulders and the articulation in the waist and diaphragm is better, but it's also really gappy in both spots as well as the head. I have the same issue with the faceplates that Popoman has, but also the alt hair piece on mine is all chewed up in the middle which sucks. I hate how they do the thigh swivel where the sculpt of the pants continues up the sides of the legs making it look like his crotch has two, giant, eyes. It's not a new thing, but I'd rather they just go back to how they did it with Ultimate Gohan. Yeah, it's not hidden, but it's less ugly that way. New knees are fine, don't really like the goofy shin articulation as it seems to just make the figure harder to stand. All in all, it's probably a better figure than the 2.0 Goku, but could be better still. I also think us early adopters are being punished with bad QC. They put the figure back up for preorder today and I suspect it's another Future Trunks situation where they're rushing out a better product that addresses the shortcomings of the original release. I have the Super Saiyan Blue variant on preorder and I'm hoping that one benefits from coming later.
