NECA - General Thread

Were the Stan Sakai Turtles out too already?
Yep! I saw at least 2 of each

No sign of the Terrifier 2 figure?
There were 4 on the peg. Admittedly, I was tempted; haven't seen any of the Terrifier movies, but something about Art just looked better with blood splatter.

Come to think of it, I don't think I saw the Bride of Frankenstein 2 pack, but everything else they had.

$37.99 each!

They also had a restock of The Count, if anyone missed him. Don't know if he'll be everywhere, but be on the lookout

Don't know if these will help, but here's the barcode for each. Scanning each one at the price scanner showed they were out of stock, and didn't have the actual name, it just showed "8624 Figure" and "50029 Figure". So do with that what you will.

Part 8 Jason is up for preorder. Super limited accessories. Seeing that, I'm guessing that they're very much limited to his portrayal from the game, and that even though the game eventually allowed interchangeable killer weapons they can only include the default for each specific Jason?

Yeah, I might not be getting these runner-up game figures if thats all we're gonna get in the box. I at least needed the guitar for this one.

That was pretty much the impression I got from the videos from Toy Fair, that the only way they can release it if it is specifically the default in the game. Anything more and they cross over into legally dangerous waters.

Looks like this one is priced a little bit lower, but it's still a pretty sparse pack-out. I'll still get it when it hits stores, because this may be the only chance to get Jason in this look, but it is disappointing he doesn't at least have the guitar. Guess I'll have to find one from a third party.

I'm fairly Jason'd out at this point, but this one is different enough the probably make me bite dammit. Im really after that Terrifier Art though. Never found the Wal-Mart bloody version, hopefully this one is easier. Art is very popular though so not getting my hopes up too high..

Yeah, that's my plan. I'll probably check with some 3D printing customizers after researching what model of guitar it is. It's a drag to need extra steps here, but I love JTM, so I need this figure and I want the most JTM display I can get. Shouldn't be hard to find barrels, at least. Or toxic waste, with how many EPA regs are getting cut now. Big era for nightly sewer flooding.

Also I need to check out those old Jakks Scorpion King figures. I know they made one of Kelly Hu's character in that, so an Eva custom seems possible. (Did we seriously never get an X2 Lady Deathstrike, even when Marvel Legends was doing that run of anniversary movie figures?!)

Damn, walked into a Target as the rep was stocking the shelves so got everything I needed in one stop, and in time to use the 15% off my entire purchase coupon in my Target app…

And then I got home and was able to put in my pre-order for Part 8 Jason, good times!

I’m surprised Jason is so sparsely accessorized, even within the limits of the game. He should have at least a bear trap and some throwing knives. They did let Jason pick up some additional weapons throughout the map. Some environmental kills could have worked as some cool accessories too.

Stopped at 3 Targets today.

Not a Haulathon item in sight.

One place had a bunch of old shit. One was stocked up to the ears in sought after stuff, like the Gangster Turtles set, the Ultimate Shredder, etc.

One had absolutely no NECA figures. None. Not a single one. So weird.

And how are we even going to call Tommy Jarvis without a radio?

Yeah, I stopped at my Target before work this morning and there wasn't anything there that hasn't been there for weeks. I'll probably try again Sunday morning, when I expect to see either nothing or evidence that the stuff I wanted was there on Saturday but sold through. :)

You might try tracking down a FNAF Bonnie figure for the guitar

My area used to have 2 Targets, one of which was always given the utmost attention by the NECA reps, and the other was completely ignored. I'll give you one guess as to which Target closed down last year. So now I'm left with the shitty Target that only gets restocked with goddamn Ben Cooper and Toony Terrors, and even then only sporadically. Not to disparage collectors of those lines, it just gets really old only seeing those when I'm looking for Ultimate NECA stuff. Here's hoping this year's Haulathon will be different, or at least they'll have a good stock online. I need that Super Grover!
