NECA 2012 Turtles

Well we know Splinter, Casey, and Slash are coming (or at least are next up if the line continues), so Leatherhead and Fishface are pretty high up on my list too. Bebop and Rocksteady of course, Mutagen Man, the Shredder Clones and Super Shredder, future Turtles, Squirrelnoids, Rat King (pipe dream: with giant rat mount), the "universal" monsters, the Creep ... I mean, yeah, I kinda just want it all. :)
 
I want Metalhead and the Newtralizer and maybe no one else. Definitely don’t plan on going too deep with this one.

Oh, Lord. I always thought that *I* had thin skin...but that guy...

Where to begin? Buckle in.

First, he was my go to option when NECA first started releasing TMNT stuff. I placed multiple pre-orders through him, multiple of the toon two packs. And he just kept pushing back when he was getting them. I could never get a straight answer from him when, as I'm watching everyone else around me get theirs.

Well, unfortunately, I had fallen on hard times at one point, and I had to cancel my orders with him to get some cash back for bills, which was an ordeal in and of itself, but I digress...

And since I was in such a rut, in a depressed headspace, in search of work and having no luck, my saint of a father threw a couple bucks my way, and actually did so in order for me to snag those figures, which at that point were hitting stateside Targets. He did it to, ya know, pick up my spirits. So I posted about it, super grateful for my Dad and excited to be able to even get them at all. Can't remember where I had posted it, but it was where Mike/ecollectibles saw it.

And he wasn't happy.

I got a nice little message from him lecturing me on how dirty of me it was to do that to him. That he is a small business, and how he doesn't ever do returns, but he took pity on me, and how he actually had to pay more to give me back my money--so on and so forth. Just giving me a hard time for cancelling and getting them somewhere else.

For the record, he didn't get those figures in for another 3-4 months after that.

At the time, I did feel bad, and explained to him the situation, but the more I stewed on it, the more I grew bitter. Like, I was in a bad place in my life, and this fucker is going to give me grief about it? Fuck him.

Regardless, time went on and I decided to throw the dickhead a bone for this God awful transgression I committed. He was wanting to sell a product line that I happened to have an in with at the company that made the figures. I set up the whole thing.

"Mike, here's my buddy; Buddy, here's Mike. Mike wants to sell your product, work out the deal amongst yourselves".

Few months go by, a few products are released, my buddy messages me "Dude, what the fuck did you set me up with?"

Uh...what?

Here, I guess Mike was irrationally demanding for as small as he is, and sending letters of complaint that this company was selling to other retailers in Canada and getting placed in stores like TRU Canada.

For *whatever* reason, Mike felt that ecollectibles was going to be the sole exclusive retailer for these figures, and demanded an explanation as to why said company was trying to get their product out there to other etailers. Mind you, this was never discussed at all. This was just what Mike put into his head. Why? Again, who knows...

AND alll of this, in spite of the fact that ecollectibles was their smallest buyer--worldwide. Like was asking for packouts that they didn't even offer. And it wasn't even close.

So, as it went--things would be released, he continued to complain after each release about perceived unfairness, the letters just went ignored. Lather, rinse, repeat. Lol

Last I heard, I believe my buddy terminated their contract, or let it lapse. Got tired of dealing with the prick.

That's just the couple of things that spring to mind. Haven't talked to the weirdo in a couple of years. Thank God. 😀

I'm wondering this as well. But I think TMNT exclusivity goes like this: Walmart has movie stuff and Target has 87 cartoon. Everything else is shared. Target has "out of stock" pages for 2012 Shredder and a Foot 2pk, so I think they'll be carrying all the 2012 figures. I think WM may have just got an early release window. I believe Target has gotten similar early releases, usually around their Collector Con events.

I am hoping this line is available beyond WM. I got three of the turtles on order via WM. But I still need to get Raphael. Really hoping I can order him elsewhere.
 
So has everyone who ordered here from NECA direct received some kind of tracking at this point? And are they shipping FedEx or other carriers? I've got nothing so far.
 
I checked my order status at NECA and they shipped Mikey via some weird carrier. Didn't look like FedEx, but Fed was in the name? But just him so far. I ordered all five.
 
I've seen a lot of talk of people getting partial shipments as well. That seems like a bad sign. If NECA is spending the extra money to break-up orders and provide certain figures now it might mean they don't expect a restock on the missing ones for a good while. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
 
Mine showing just Mikey dispatched but the tracking never has updated and it shows thru DHL.
 
The tracking from NECA initially said FedEx smart post, but the actual tracking is for USPS. Mikey only thus far, and he's currently in Virginia, so he should be here to me in MD by Thursday.
