ML Preorder/Order Schedule

I'm hopeful the one head in this release will make for an improvement on the Maximum release. Though I'll never not be scared of the torso skin tearing...

If I know Hasbro, and I think I do, they'll release their non-rubber-chested Capcom Hulk in a slightly different shade of green to piss everyone off including myself. They purposely made the X97 Wolverine from the Storm 2pk a redder fleshtone so it wont match the other X97 Wolverines. Major annoyance.

I'm getting REAL annoyed with the wildly varying skintones - I do think it's being done intentionally and that's JUST the team being a dick to customers by removing our ability to mix and match. That Wolverine being SUCH a drastic change really pissed me off when I opened that box recently.

But I'm also really over the super-saturated, peachy skintones they've started doing the last year. Tone them back down - this was not a problem for a DECADE!

Likewise. Looking forward to this, despite how horrible this whole period was. But that Quicksilver will look great with the Busiek/Pérez Avengers team.
I got him specifically to go with Onslaught since that was roughly the costume he wore for that era. Always can find plenty of uses for extra angry face sculpts for Marvel characters.

I honestly don't know why I ordered these since I have suitable versions of each in my Classic Avengers/Modern Avengers/90s X-Teams displays but they look cool.

This might be the first time in a while I'm like "I didn't spend enough time enjoying the last version of this figure" has happened to me (I really liked the bucky buck version of Archangel, to be fair) but the new one really is such an upgrade I'm just going to shame myself but get the upgrade. The X-Force one is fantastic.

Is Archangel not getting an Amazon release?

Edit: Lame, he's not getting an Amazon preorder. Had to order him from EE and stuff in Grandpa Munster for the free shipping.

The things I'll justify to avoid paying shipping.

I did end up pre ordering Archangel today. I tried not to since I have x2 of his previous release in blue, but I just like how this release he's blue with more pinkish lines and details on his attire. Whereas the previous release was blue with more reddish lines. In my mind, it should be the colors on the figure that went up today.

So, ultimately, I'm paying $39.99 for some pink lines lol. But I love X-Men, and Archangel ALWAYS makes a cool, impressive looking figure. So, I can't go wrong here.

I'm no better. I didn't like the original head that came with the 90s style one you're talking about so I ordered a custom painted one that had been 3D printed to "zzush" him up. It looks great, but I still find myself wanting more, which is how I've noticed I've become for core X-Men figures over certain other tertiary characters like Gen X and such. I think Hasbro knows I'll buy 3-4 90s Magneto's for every M or Paige Guthrie they make. I already own a custom painted Magneto head from CastingCave that looks great, and I'm currently eyeing another with metallic car-paint looking quality paint apps just for an open mouthed screaming Magneto head. Colossus, Archangel, Iceman, Wolverine goes without saying. I think it's an illness at this point.

Moar Moar Moar, How D'Ya Like It, How D'Ya Like It!

I can only speak for myself, but once my collection is "complete," I plan to stay invested in the hobby through figures like Archangel. Do I need it? Of course not. But it's a small upgrade, gives me a hit of dopamine, and keeps me involved in a hobby/community I love.
