Mini Comic Wave 2

Ah, the patience game just hit - I didn't know the wave was shipping this week from Pulse but I'd put my order in with Amazon assuming they'd ship sooner. Amazon still has them all listed for 12/20 give or take a few days, but man I want most of this wave like, ASAP.
 
I know Pulse updated ship dates to this coming week, but I'm not holding my breath til they send actual shipping notices. I honestly can't believe how many MLs I've gotten just within the past week. Starfox, Champion, Gamerverse Punisher and Fury, the entire Warbow.. er.. Executioner wave, Secret Wars Iceman. This is just the second wave of bombardment, having just gotten wave 3 of X-Men '97 plus the 2pks Cyclops/Marvel Girl, Storm/Wolverine, Rogue/Gambit, retro card Weapon X and Outback Storm, Maximum Deadpool. Not to mention ALL of the MvC 2pks and deluxe figures. And then on deck are this Mini Comic wave, and the Inhumans 2pks, and the MtO Sentinel, all expected before the new year.

That's just Marvel. This doesn't even mention Classified and Transformers.

Could be an omen in a horror movie. A toy horror movie. Like when she finds the deer in the Ring.

You need a scene like in Rosemary's baby where you're loosening your figure in cold water but screaming that it's scalding you. It's like the omen where the child is going to grow up to be a YouTube reviewer and we have to stop it.

Right now I'm getting very lucky in that a bunch of the stuff I had preordered is either kickstartered or imports and is coming in well after it was solicited to. This means that instead of my wallet being absolutely demolished and getting a huge dump of toys all at once, I'm getting like one package a week with one or two figures.

I am happy that my pre-order list is getting pretty short, though. Much as I live figures, 2026 is a year where I need to be a lot more choosy. Either that, or I need to do another large purge. I simply can't keep eating through my available space like I did this year.

This is why I paused all my preordering for the latter half of the year! A big deluge of product all at once right before Christmas would have been more stressful than fun - especially since I did keep the preorder for three MtO Sentinels. I'm saving the rest of my 2026 budget for those.

I expect most of what has released/will release soon to stay pretty available into next year. Astonishing Beast is one I definitely expect to sell out pretty quickly. Not sure what else I should avoid waiting on.

I keep thinking to myself I should have picked up a second one. But no, that's madness. Just because I want to have two of them flanking my one Haslab Sentinel is not a reason to actually do it. I have a buddy who lives close by who also got one and we've basically arranged a playdate to open and mess with our Sentinels.

We're all a little mad, or we likely wouldn't spend the money that we do on this hobby - but you've got to do what makes you happy as long as you can justify it. I pre-ordered 2 of these X-Men '97 Sentinels, but I went fully mad and bought 4 of the HasLab versions back then. LOL! I have a major weakness for Sentinels for some reason.

See, I have the same weakness, just not enough space. I have at least one of every Sentinel made in the current ML line.

These all hit my BBTS pile of loot just now! Very excited to finally complete the early rosters of X-Force and Excalibur. Marvel started releasing these early '90s X-Men figures in earnest in 2016 with the Rogue from the Juggernaut wave, so it's been 9-10 years given it'll be 2026 in less than two months.

Now onto New Mutants, Generation X, and adding in other early '90s X-Men supporting characters like Revanche, Kylun, and the Phalanx.
 
Yep, the mini-comic wave hit my Pile of Loot also. I bought all except Widow.

BBTS says Fury/Punisher and Gorgon/Medusa are due imminently as well.

I received Ai Apaec from Amazon a couple of days ago, but no movement on the others from the Skurge wave for me yet.

I've been seeing that Disney+ Daredevil and Punisher everywhere at brick and mortar, but they're just not my thing so I continue to pass on them. I'm just not into live action figures, generally.

I just grabbed Beast for now. Of that list, Beast and Feral are the only ones I can't live without, and he's the only one that's likely to become hard to get.

I think this is my first purchase at Trump prices - I don't love it!
 
Hmm, that's odd. I only have Beast in my PoL. I did order more. Rachel and Ferral. Let's hope they got enough to fill the orders.
