I feel similarly toward this release the way I did when Mister Hyde was revealed. He just doesn't match my mind's eye ... disappointing for a first-time figure of a character I've wanted for ages. Especially given that Owl seems even less likely than Hyde to be given another go-round.

Edit: quick research shows this is a pretty on-model Marvel Knights version of the character. Except maybe the boots.

Coat does not match Logan. I used that to make a custom Mastermind. The answer is in my updated post. Disgusting. If anyone can find any comic panels where he looks like this figure I would like to know.

A-ha! I found that image in my search, drove myself crazy trying to figure out where it came from, took for granted it was part of some arc or miniseries I just hadn't read.

This reminders me of Jason Wyngarde a few years ago, with his variant cover-colored coat.
 
Owl should have come with an action coat - it wouldn't have fit in the pack, but they should have tried. Or one wired coat. Kinda lame that this flexy plastic jacket will never achieve the poses he seems to be mostly known for.
 
If they had re-used Old Man Logan's jacket it at least has some airflow going on that would have looked nice and evoked the character.
 
Doesn’t Owl wear basically this throughout his appearances in the Bendis run? And basically a ton of other modern appearances?

In the Waid run he went back to a cleaner appearance with a waistcoat, no beard and smaller hair.
