McFarlane DC Multiverse

I went to 6 Gamestops and found Page Punchers Superman & Joker. My local Gamestop had Extant but I already ordered it from Walmart. I couldn't find Cheetah anywhere.

You know, If McFarlane can release Phygital Joker with a trenchcoat & new head sculpt, then he can release the Collector's Edition Wonder Woman with a cape as a Phygital or Page Punchers not as a Patina figure.

Penguin arrived today - I have to say I am equally impressed with the figure, sculpt execution as I am baulking at the cost these days. I choose to focus on the positive, I find most live action do not translate well from the comic books but I could totally see this penguin morphing into the Gangster owner of the Iceberg lounge. I still think that Batman returns is the closest to a live action comicbook. Anyways Saturday night and Oswald is up to no good.....

This is a really nice backdrop, where did you get it all or did you print it up yourself? Well done either way.

One of my favorite parts of the hobby, pretty much built an entire Gotham city at this point 😄. Built out of cardboard and random trash. Posters - yes easily found on the web. This one I did put together specifically to display the Returns wave 👍

My big ol' POL arrived today after shipping on Friday. It was Todd-heavy. I still have to open Deathstroke and Peacemaker but I'll do a quick review of Scarecrow and PP Joker.

Scarecrow is darn near perfect. I don't consider him too buff, I think he's just right, in fact. Love the sculpt and the paint, looks like there's a light wash over him with really adds to the personality. I honestly don't know what else I'd ask for from a Scarecrow figure. Top 10 of the year figure, most likely. Love it.

Joker is another winner. I recently unloaded my digital Joker in favor of this one. I think Mattel's DCUC Joker is one of the best Jokers of all time, mostly due to the face, and honestly, the face on this figure is almost identical to that one. The classic Joker look is captured perfectly. I wish I could take the hat off, but the face is nailed so completely that I forgive it. The coat is fine, it's nothing special but it has a good look. The colors on both the coat and the figure itself are exactly what they should look like. Both hands kind of suck, he can barely hold his pistol. Still, this is my definitive McFarlane Joker figure.

Two winners, here. Todd really does right by these Batman rogues.

Great shots of the Penguin. I agree with price vs execution. If anything it forces me to be more choosy with what I buy. I couldn't pass these up even at $35 each.

Having missed the deluxe figure discussion the other day, let me add:

1) Todd’s best deluxe figure is hands down Frankenstein.

2) We need a deluxe comic accurate Solomon Grundy toot sweet. Whether it’s for Alan Scott and the JSA or Batman and another Gotham rogue, Grundy is a huge hole in the lineup.

Agreed. It's surprising Todd hasn't gotten around to Grundy yet, given his love of the macabre. That Arkham City Mini-Me version just ain't gonna cut it. There's been a pretty big lack of Grundy figures in general over the years, so getting one now would be great.

I had ordered Blackfire from Walmart & they sent me purple Batgirl. I contacted them showing them what I received. They said they would send out Blackfire and didn't ask for me to return Batgirl. I received Blackfire today and now I have a Batgirl I didn't want. I guess I'll get rid of it at some point.

I’ve got five different preorders for twelve separate items outstanding going back to 9/18/25. All new stuff. Four with Todd, one with Wal Mart. So technically all from Todd as he does fulfillment for some Wal Mart items now. With no movement whatsoever and very few of these have shown up locally in stores.

Let’s pick up the pace people. All but one of these are supposed to ship this month.

Truth! Not only best mega-fig but one of the Top 5 figures in the entire line!

I started seeing the Batman Day wave in stores everywhere this past weekend. I have that full 7-figure bundle pre-ordered from MTS with no movement. I think that those are my only open pre-orders for anything DC related. I received both versions of Dr. Mid-Nite and Extant last week and I received the '66 Batmobile today. I've got dozens of other things pre-ordered (mostly Marvel Legends) but I think that 7-figure bundle is all that I'm waiting on from McFarlane. I wasn't able to pre-order Cheetah but hope to find her at some point also.

Last day for Harley for anyone still deciding or putting off the purchase. :)

I picked up the Level 4 set and one basic Harley just in case.

I’m sure there were some people who avoided committing until it fully funded.

I didn’t participate. Don’t buy live action figures. But I’m glad it funded for those of you who do.

If Todd were to do something like this that’s comic based, I’d be in. Let’s say for example a Stargirl and S.T.R.I.P.E. 2-pack, becoming a 4-pack with Star Spangled Kid and Stripsey at the top level. Or perhaps Sylvester as Skyman. Something cool and different.
